That to me is even too big of a step up for the 22 year old. Dude is 29 so I can see the fast track from Hearn.

But Yeleussinov is no JOKE! He smoked Indongo even faster than Crawford did!

6 time gold medal winner. 2 Silver. Beat Josh Taylor in ams's
I wouldn't go there now either! Rashidi is really the best (if no Thurman, Ugas, or Pacquiao) option! Both GBP! Ellis is a Top 10 WW! I don't understand why GBP is hesitant in making that happen?

Ortiz is green and would get flatlined by Crawford. Oscar might be a cokehead but he aint ******.
What excuse? Wanting a guy to win with no asterisks?

      Spence did it.

      Porter did it.

      Lopez did it.

      Fury did it.

I like CLEAN wins. Sorry you don't.

People are still calling the kid a prospect because of his age and the limited amount of time he's been a pro but the advances he's made and the competition he has beaten makes him a contender whether people want to admit it or not. I don't see it happening, at least not next but if Crawford gets really desperate for an opponent and can't get the PBCers in the ring, this could be the most viable option. Good post Nacho.
Thanks, Face. We probably agree on a bit more than we imagine. I also doubt that TC takes this fight. Not because he is afraid of any young lion, but because its a somewhat lower money, lose-lose proposition. If he wins (unless its by total annihilation) fans will simply say Ortiz was green like F. Vargas vs Tito. If TC struggles (he probably would for a while) or gets hurt/dropped fans will say he's on the decline or was never that great to start. Ortiz, as with Canelo vs Mayweather, wins with almost any outcome because the exposure makes him a bona fide star in the sport. As you say, its probably not going to happen any time soon, but I hope it does. Teofimo showed contenders that it really can be worth it to take big risks in this sport.

You're on the money there Nacho. I agree. Teofimo set the precedent and now hopefully more young, dynamic boxers will follow suit. Regardless of what anyone thought of Lopez/Loma, it was a great thing for boxing in general. Anyone who is cherry picking or ducking certain matchups may be guilted into stepping up which I'm all for.
I have more respect for a young fighter who takes a risk, possibly gets a loss and comes back stronger than a fighter who picks and chooses lesser opponents and builds up an undefeated record fighting inferior opposition only to get exposed when they finally step up.
