Tyson adored Maradona so much he dissed Messi

Mike Tyson really loved Maradona so much he even dissed Messi! Kind of a funny story and typical Mike. For some reason Mike felt no love for Messi, but he does love Maradona and Ronaldo

What does he know about football?

R.I.P Maradona - the best I ever saw. Ronaldinho and Brazilian Ronaldo (the real Ronaldo) are the next two.

Messi and Ronaldo era was the weakest era in football - the standard is going up again with all the young talents coming up.

Two sporting icons of the same era, with similar tastes in "nightlife", it's no surprise they got along.

Having read Maradona's autobiography, he was clearly a fan of Tyson.

More than you'd think. I've read that he was a fan of Denmark's Thomas Gravesen, describing him as "a warrior".

I doubt he watches football. For him to diss Messi who's better than Ronaldo and the closest thing to Maradona you'll ever see despite lauding Maradona should tell you all you need to know.

If he claims he knows Gravesen, I'd like him to tell me about the Laudrup brothers and their career at Ajax, lol. That was the golden era!

As an Evertonian I would put Gravesen in the 'flatter to deceive' category. Scary looking but certainly no warrior.

We still think Real meant to sign Lee Carsley - our other bald midfielder.

Michael Laudrup was awesome. I agree with you about Messi and Ronaldo.
              Strangely, Argentinians don't love Messi.

                😄😄😄

As a Liverpool fan, I know what you mean. We had Song, Baros and Smicer among others who played like giants for their national team only to flounder against West Brom on a Saturday.

Nah Tommy was class in the first half of the 04/05 season. His contract was running out as well so Madrid saw it as a bargain.

I thought he was our best player for a couple of years aside from maybe a teenage Rooney. Did you not rate him?

Maradona along with Pele is one of two logical answers to the football GOAT debate. I am a Pele guy though and have Diego in 2nd on my all time list.

What he achieved with a below average Argentinian team in both 1986 and 1990 is the likely the greatest individual performance in football history. His performances against England and West Germany in 86 and Brazil in 90 were unbelievable.

                    RIP to a true legend.
