Is Eddie Hearn overrated as a promoter?

Don't worry about what I'm planning to do in future. Young British boxers, especially Olympians, need to start making better decisions.
If not for Warren, there'd be no young British prospects coming through the ranks because the talented ones that went to matchroom are either half-ruined or on the verge of being ruined.

He's taken a mediocre Heavyweight and made a champion out of him and a large stack of cash . Packed alot of big stadiums . id say he's earned his reputationI made this assertion last year and said Josh made Hearn - not the other way around. To understand why I said this: look no further than all the boxers he had before Josh and how none of them reached that star or superstar threshold. I got a loads of pushbacks/bollocking from fellow Brits on here when I said it but it's becoming more glaring now.
When Haney signed with Matchroom - he was the biggest young talent in the US. He was bigger than Garcia, Tank and Teofimo Lopez. However, isn't it funny that they have all surpassed him, in terms of starpower? Haney was meant to be the next big in US boxing - the new Mayweather. However, due to terrible matchmaking and Hearn's inexperience - Haney's star has dimmed a bit whilst the rest are on the fringe of becoming PPV stars.
In boxing, being a teflon promoter with a loudmouth, reminiscent of Puff Daddy in the 90s (all up in the videos) doesn't give your boxers notoriety - it only makes the promoter popular. Boxers become popular based on how they're matched, the highlight reel that comes from their fights, their level of talent, who they beat, etc.
Haney had no business fighting Gamboa. He gained nothing from the fight and it dimmed his starpower.Comment

LMAO. The only mediocre boxing talent who was trash as an amateur and **** average as a pro that became a champion is Josh Taylor.
AJ is the best HW talent (by a mile) in the last two decades. Hearn almost ruined him but he was too GREAT to be ruined. With or without Hearn he would've been big/rich as he's (if not bigger). When you sell out an arena in your pro debut - you know you're destined for greatness!
When Frank Warren starts saying a cow would've been AJ's promoter and he'd be as big he's - you know it isn't a lie. And Warren doesn't even like the guy.Comment

Come in to the picture and save boxing. Let's all agree that Eddie is no novice and have no idea about promoting and match making.Don't worry about what I'm planning to do in future. Young British boxers, especially Olympians, need to start making better decisions.
