Floyd was a fraud. There are none of his fights worth watching again. They all look like rigged sparring sessions where the opponent was not allowed to beat or hurt him. Especially at welter. Floyd did have talent, he looked great vs certain guys, small hatton 140, gatti, corrales who threw the fight for the payday (he was going to jail a week later). But the duck list is what exposed floyd. All the times he avoided prime threats with his crybaby bitc* a55 excuses. True greats don't duck. True greats do not discredit other true greats. True greats do not show insecurity and jealousy for true greats. True greats have class honor integrity humility, qualities which floyd never had and never will. because he's a fraud pretender.

I don't think he cherry picked. his opposition was strong on average. He did not fight a killer every fight but nobody in boxing does that or ever did that. All the great champions had easy fights against weaker fighters now and then. I think he is an all time great but not the TBE or the GOAT. I don't have a list of the top 50 best fighters in history and I don't know all the great fighters well enough to accurately rate them. I doubt anyone reading this thread has a top 50 best all time great list or is qualified to rate them all either. I think Mayweather might be one of the 20 or 30 best fighters of all time but I doubt he belongs in the top 10. Just my opinion. You can never prove greatness one way or the other because it is based on opinions not provable fact.

he is good at timing.. in terms of opposition.. he waited a couple of years until he saw a decline in his opponents then the fight is on.. he cherry picked and fight under his own terms. he wants all the advantages over the others or else the fight wont be happening.. that's how great he is..

          Excellent post

All name fighters use matchmaking so back to back fights with killers are rare

Floyd is a strong candidate for being TBE [skills], but his era didn’t give him the opportunity to prove if he can be the GOAT. That’s how I see Floyd

Better than any current boxers right now in any division especially the welterweight division.

Not quite. Pac beat a better version of Cotto and JMM. Also got a much higher quality win over Cotto and Hatton. Mosley beat a better version of DLH. Oscar beat a better version of Hernandez. JMM beat a better version of Manny. Just about everyone beat a better version of Berto.

Moreover, all of those fighters fought in much more entertaining fights against one another.

Floyd and manny’s resumes are often compared

                Among their shared opponents

                Floyd beat a better

                ODLH
                Ricky Hatton
                Mosley

                Marquez and Cotto are debatable

Mosley was about the same, didn't lose much between fighting Floyd and Manny. Manny got a more dominant win. Hatton didn't lose much between fighting Floyd and Manny KO'd him in decisive fashion without help from Joe Cortez.

Floyd "retired" to avoid a DLH rematch, where he got a very narrow decision and many say a gift.

Again, Floyd never beat an elite level opponent at their best.

He was so good that every time a fighter does something noteworthy, he is compared to Floyd and put in a fantasy fight with Floyd.
