No, and I doubt Breeland would do that. He knows that Wilder is emotionally unstable right now.

If this affects Breland's work opportunities, he should consider filing a lawsuit.
      On what grounds ?

If his reputation is damaged and it affects his ability to find work, he could sue him probably. Slander. Defamation of character.

I don't know, and I'm not suggesting it necessarily. Hence the question.

If Breland does not sue the big bird legged fraud it means he's being paid to be the scapegoat.

Because it's a slam dunk case and he could make millions from wilder haymon and finkel for this blatant slander and defamation.

Just what American courts need, another frivolous lawsuit

The boss gave his employees rules to follow.

This isn't related to Breland's duty of care. If Wilder doesn't like that he threw the towel in then sack him. No problem.

But claiming a trainer spiked a boxer's water is slander. It wouldn't be frivolous to sue for damages. He's undoubtedly damaged.

The courts won't spend more than a minute on such a lawsuit. There was no ''you can't fire me'' clause.

The original post was about defamation which is a real thing. Not about being fired.
