I really don't know. He'd hype it up and I wouldn't pay attention. I was always thinking "didn't this guy beat Tua not long before that? And super easy? Tf is he talking up this washed up Tyson win for?"

You said it ...absolutely. Tyson was well washed up then and didn't want to fight any more. Lewis either started a legal action or threatened to, if Tyson didn't fight him. So he did. And it was obvious from the beginning that he was only a shell. Lewis is a very common East London lower-class braggart pretending to be something he certainly is not. I come from over there and know all the accents. In London alone there are about 6-7 different accents before you get to the upper classes. There are social differences there from centuries ago, which they still thought were important.

I'm not denying that he was a good fighter, but he was on the verge of defeat in the Klitschko fight, when the dr. in a ****** moment told the ref to stop it. He gave 3-4 different excuses to exonerate himself afterwards when he realised that his reason for stopping it was not valid. The eyebrow cut was just flesh on bone with no major blood vessels nearby. The bleeding had stopped 2 rounds before. and was not bothering Klitschko at all. The 2 small surface cuts under his eye were no problem. Klitschko, to make a point, appeared on a special interview about 7 days after the fight, and he showed a close-up of the cut. There was no cut visible and no swelling at all.

Lewis on TV gave him absolutely no credit at all, only running him down. He was always very jealous of Both brothers for their educations, and high standing in the boxing world as ambassadors for the sport, as well as for their many charitable donations and foundations. It may not be generally known that Lewis was to fight Kirk Johnson, and had been avoiding Klitschko for a year. K. was the official #1 and Lewis ignored him. He demanded and got and extra $4 mill for fighting K. A few months after their fight Klitschko fought Kirk Johnson, and slaughtered him in a round and a half.

I was in secondary school when he fought Tyson, loads of kids fancied Tyson and I was betting against them all.

I remember coming in on the Monday and collecting about £50 in coins.

Had a £3 on Lewis Round 8 as well at 25/1 as well.

Wrong the lawsuit was because the WBC wouldn't let Lewis take a fight before the Tyson mandatory but were allowing Tyson to fight Mercer. He actually wanted Tyson removed as manadatory if the Mercer fight went ahead. Impossible for Lewis to force Tyson to fight if Tyson didn't want to. Tyson wanted that fight it was his cash out fight.

Lewis was going to fight Klitschko after the Johnson fight which is why Klitschko was on the undercard to help build the fight. When Johnson pulled out, Lewis fought Klitschko on short notice. Lewis was in the worst condition of his career and still beat him. Klitschko required over 60 stiches to his face and mouth. The young hungry lion couldn't beat the old out of shape Lewis.

Mike Tyson dropped WBC belt back in 1996 for fighting Holyfield instead of WBC challenger Lennox.

Lennox beat him when they fought. Mike can just blame him self that they didn`t fight before.

Lennox Lewis is overrated while Fury is already an atg who gets compared favorably to former fighters who actually proved their all time greatness.

Nothing to do with race though.
