Lopez now @135 = Broner when he was at 135.

Problem is that's not what I said. I said that he idolizes Floyd. I said he uses the shoulder roll like Floyd. You connected the two. One is a symptom of the other, not a direct correlation.

He's VERBALLY talked about Floyd the same way Broner used to. That's idolizing. You didn't ever hear Andre Ward or Tim Bradley do that.

well it is what it is, not everyone is the same. He does or he doesnt really means 0. If He does wont stop him from getting his ass whooped if thats in the cards for him, and if he doesnt wont stop him from getting his ass whooped if thats in the cards for him.

Right. The question is, which fighter has the greatest chance to do that?

What fighter can do what Valero used to do on his path to 100% KO ratio?

Because to me, that person beats Teofimo Lopez with ease. Someone who actually likes fighting and throws it all to the wind to do it because they love it, even with a low payday.

I dont see any fighters like that around his way, they will have to have power and be relentless and that doesnt exist right now, you got regies who a power puncher but isnt close to being relentless, you got jose reamiriez who pretty relentless but I wouldnt categroizing him as relentless.

So if Lopez, a person who does sit back and wait for counters, fights someone who doesn't engage and stays at range, may frustrate Lopez into traps. And Lopez was eating shots even against Loma who was much smaller.

The thing is, very few fighters at 135 can really do that. Tank maybe, assuming he makes weight easy, which isn't easy. Ryan Garcia DEFINITELY (to me that is a BAD style matchup for Teo).
It's funny because I could see a Ryan Garcia-Teo Lopez matchup starting off as a staring contest for the reasons you stated. Ryan would be looking for counter left hooks while Teo would be shelled up looking for counter right uppercuts. Garcia definitely has the dimensions to trouble Teo but I haven't seen Ryan in a position where he had to vary his attack beyond his go-to moves.

I will wait and see how Ryan does against Luke Campbell before I get into a full breakdown.

At the age of 23, Ward and Bradley were nobodies. Nobody paid any attention to them or their careers to even care what they had to talk about. At 23, Lopez is the undisputed, undefeated lightweight champion of the world. People are interested in that. I’d bet at the age of 23, Ward and Bradley had their idols too. But they had never done anything at 23 for anyone to care about. That’s why you didn’t hear them say anything like that.

Teo loves - LOVES - feint jabs. If Ryan times one of them and gets to the chin first...

Some y'all forgot how good Broner looked at 135 when he sparked out DeMarco, it's been all downhill from there tho. But Broner's problem never really was a lack of talent it was a lack of discipline and work ethic.

As for what style will give Lopez problems, I think longer, rangier fighters who can really box and move and keep him at the end of their punches Lopez will struggle with. I think Devin Haney and Josh Taylor immediately come to mind.

See, I think Haney gets absolutely worked and embarrassed should he ever fight Teo. He's a good offensive fighter but his defense - in my opinion, is lacking.

Josh Taylor? I don't know, I'm not sold yet either way.

So Loma clearly lost to someone at Broner's level? That must really hurt.
