Loma and his team knew he lost when the bell rang at the end of the 12th. He went back to his corner with his head down and his dad gave him a kiss.

Disappointing
I think of myself more as a fan of boxing rather than of any particular boxer, but I've always been impressed by Loma previous to this fight.
I'm disappointed in his reaction to the loss.
I've admired him for his reticence in not getting dragged into trash-talking and conducting himself with dignity, it's a shame he hasn't managed to apply that to this loss.
By the same token, Teo and Lopez Snr irritated me with their big-mouthed egotism, so if I wanted anyone to win, it was the guy who conducted himself with dignity.
I scored it 7-5 to Lopez and could see an argument for 8-4.
Lopez fought an excellent fight and negated the weapons that Loma has used to make the likes of Nicholas Walters & Rigo quit. It's too simple to say that Loma just didn't get going quick enough or he wasn't himself. There's a reason why his offence was absent and that reason is because Teo Lopez didn't let him use it. Loma has shown himself to be the master of creating angles with his movement, agility and speed, however Teo managed to (mainly) keep him in his sights and turn with him, keeping him square on. Teo showed skills we haven't seen from him before. He's a better boxer than I previously thought.
Loma should maybe have the humility to give Teo the credit for this. After all, Loma is fighting a couple of weight classes above and Teo is likely to be a Welter within 3-4 years. We all know that Loma could be dominating 122 or 126 but instead chose to move up for tougher challenges. Credit to him for that but he's obviously reached his ceiling. There's no disgrace in this loss, but. there is in denying it and refusing to give Teo Lopez the credit he deserves.

Honestly, Teo's performance was not all that! It's just that Loma's performance was so bad (fought scared for 6 rds.), that i'm happy Lopez got the victory! Plus i'm happy b/c Teo represents Brooklyn! Haney or Zepeda next? I'm good with either one! MAN UP!

My response was to someone saying that Teo is being a bad sport and I was pointing out that Loma was a bad sport after his clear loss.

Teo showed plenty of holes in his game but Lomachenko put in a shocking performance
Teo would not have got away with that second half performance against a elite full lightweight, but against lomachenko he was big enough to soak up the combos and get to his second wind.
