Is Fury able to box in the UK?
Arum/Warren Need To Remember Who They Are Trying To Screw

LOLBetter than pretending to be a responsible moderator.
Here's a clue...if you're going to administer for a website, you should at least be vaguely familiar with articles posted on it.
I didn't have to be a lawyer to come up with that. There was an article posted on THIS cite that posited as much:
However, Warren cautions that a legal case will not be that simple - because Saudi Arabia has been set as the fight location.
"The bottom line is, the US State Department advises its citizens not to go to Saudi Arabia for many reasons – the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, human rights issues, they’ve got a long paragraph on torture, cruel and inhumane treatment, women’s rights and it talks about the risk of going to airports where *********s may attack – that’s all on their official website. His own government is telling him his life could be in danger," Warren told Thursday’s Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on Talk Sport.
“All this nonsense about having his titles taken away from him, that is nonsense. You can be sued for breach of contract, and he may have a point there, but it’s not an easy case, that’s for sure. He has a very, very strong position for not travelling.”
Veteran promoter Frank Warren has given his take on the ongoing war of words with respect to the heavyweight rematch between IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO champion Andy Ruiz and challenger Anthony Joshua.
Ruiz had an out that no court in the US would have overruled and everyone knew it.
Except you and krapzod or whatever his name is I guess.
i guarantee that this won't be going to court. Even Finkle has admitted defeat today.
Bob Arum is an actual lawyer and unlike yourself, he knows what he's talking about.Comment

Again, we will see about whether this ends up in court or not.
The point of this thread isn't about that tho, but you can deflect all you like being a moderator and all.
Just a piece of advice...if you are put in a position of responsibility, you should hold yourself to a higher standard than everyone else, not a lower one.
Peace.Comment

Honestly, after listening to a interview with Bob yesterday...sounds like most of this is Frank Warren and Tyson Fury call NOT Arum!
Frank and Tyson knows the amount of money they can make if they speed things up and make the Fights with AJ and they're right that is a bigger fight back in the UK for them absolutely so I totally understand why they want out of Wilder Trilogy and to start working towards that fightLast edited by sicko; 10-14-2020, 10:53 AM.Comment

Completely agree that ESPN cannot be happy with this either. It's not just PBC Fury is screwing over it's also ESPN. ESPN isn't paying Fury all that money to fight overseas in the early evening on the app going up against college football on ESPN. Fury vs Wilder is the only PPV fight ESPN has. From what I'm hearing Bob Arum isn't happy with Fury's decision.
And this may hurt co-broadcasts between FOX and ESPN down the road as well.
You're FOX, and you know ESPN has a 100 million dollar contract with Fury, only to have him do this?
There's a lot of folks not understanding the long-term ripples from this...Comment

First of all, I'm not a moderator and I've never claimed to be one, so I'm not sure where you've got that idea from.Again, we will see about whether this ends up in court or not.

And even if I was, moderators are allowed an opinion on boxing, and they don't have to hold themselves up to any standards.
This isn't a democracy, it's a privately owned website and the moderators/admins can do or say anything they like.
PBC will work with Arum/ESPN if the money is right, that won't change.Comment

I'm waiting to see if Fury/Arum are serious or just testing the waters on the contractual leeway they have or even if Wilder does want out after having more time to consider things before I'm going to assume all TR/PBC business is dead off of this recent situation.
I feel like this could be a situation where Fury makes a fight & Wilder's Team is able to kill it due to the contract & this is all about nothing or gaining leverage/testing boundaries.Comment
