    This.

Fury is a superstar. The face of boxing. He does what he pleases.

Wilder got EMBARRASSED in those 2 fights anyway. No need for a third.

      Do your checking better.

Promoters kept moving the date back, with Warren and Arum announcing the postponement each time.

Then those same promoters who moved the dates back- while assuring everyone the contract provided for the delays- now are coming back and saying time has expired.

Congratulations for letting them do your thinking for you...

        It is absolutely ridiculous!

They're all the same. Just some are better at hiding it.

Doubt it has much to do with Warren, Fury would be calling the shots in that relationship.

It makes you wonder what really happened with the contract, if there was language in there saying the rematch had to happen in 2020, added by Wilder's side no less, they had to know this was a likely outcome. Maybe the guarantees were so high that without live gate it would make a loss and the broadcasters wouldn't do it, although the silence from Wilder makes you wonder if hes not happy to see it drift away.

The difference between Ruiz & Joshua's rematch and Fury & Wilder 2 could not have been more opposite.

Whatever the case nay be, there was no need for a 3rd natch any way. Why see ANOTHER domination? Waste of time to every one who is a true boxing fan. I get it for the saadists. But id rather Fury fight a top challenger or AJ. Wilder got outboxed, beat up and stopped. Next.

Arum and Haymon lost a boatload of money on the second fight, and as Arum has said the third fight didn't happen because the money wasn't there to make it. Without the gate, it would have been a risky move for Fury and an even riskier one for Wilder from a business perspective. The purses would have been something like 5mil at best, and for that Fury would risk the AJ showdown and Wilder would risk a second humiliating KO having to rebuild his brand from zero. Now they can each go make a couple million bucks fighting cans for zero risk and see how things look next year... Wilder is screwed out of trying to get his title back but that's simply how the cards fell.

Arum is just upset because Fury isn't fighting in America in December; TR on ESPN's ratings have been abysmal this year, and he needs to close the year out strong with some respectable numbers. Afternoon show from the UK is not what ESPN is paying Arum for.

Some of these comments didn't age well...especially the ones about me trying to "act like a lawyer".

I guess my acting is better than some folks thought...

They had a great "out" that no US court would have ruled against- namely safety concerns in Saudi Arabia. The Saudis are still trying to live down the murder and dismemberment of a prominent US journalist.

                  As for Wilder, we'll see.
What were the safety concerns in Saudi Arabia ?

                    From this site:

Manny Robles, the head trainer of WBO, WBA, IBF, IBO heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz, is in full support of his fighter's position with respect to the announced location of the rematch with Anthony Joshua.
