LOL, and who did Spence fight in that unification bout? He fought a guy who has never been a draw and isn't a big name. DSG isn't a star himself but at the very least his name value is right there with Porter, if not a bit higher.

Be lucky to sell 150k buys? Is that a joke? Spence isn't selling less than 200k buys against another decent name. And the KingRy fight will have very little impact on the buys for Spence/DSG. First off, KingRy's fanbase consists of bunch of teenagers or those in their early 20s that wouldn't have purchased Spence/DSG even if it was on another date. Secondly, Spence is doing live gates of 2M+ in states where neither he nor his opponent are from and close to 300k buys. He's a star and a much bigger name at this point than KingRy.

This isn't even to mention that KingRy/Campbell don't even have a venue set for their fight. That fight could very easily be moved to another date.

Danny won't be pushing any buys. Spence is the draw here, and he's fighting a guy who lost to his last opponent. The intrigue is how Spence looks after his accident.

Viewing numbers are down for sports across the board. The Charlo PPV numbers are rumored to be below 100k (Kevin Iole said 75K). Now he has to compete with Ryan Garcia, a rising star? His first step up fight, I'd be willing to bet even hardcore boxing fans agree that is the more intriguing fight. Someone should do a poll. I don't think it's a stretch to say this PPV will flop as well.

I said "I highly doubt", my argument was never where the fight is bigger or where fans are permitted. All I said was they're treating Danny like an opponent & that big fights like this rarely if ever happen in anyone's hometown. Cognizant of the climate.. You saying ESJ is the A side as if opponents of DSG's caliber fight in the A sides backyard. You haven't named any scenarios like this cause you & I know it's very abnormal regardless of ESJ''s unequivocal A side status.

Garcia isn't really much of an attraction. He's just a good fighter with a name bc of the work he's put in. Just like Porter. Don't really think people care whether he fights or not unless he's in with a more popular opponent. Spence will sell out however many seats are available. 25% of that stadium is a sellout at pretty much any boxing venue. We need the crowds back. The ambience just isn't the same.

Of course Spence is the main draw, but you are proving my point. If he did 275k vs a non-star in Porter, there is no way he does less than 200k buys against DSG who is at worst an equal name to Porter.

Iole didn't report an actual number. Coppinger said 100-120k buys which was around what most expected. That card wasn't a hard one to predict in terms of PPV buys. Charlo's aren't close to Spence in terms of drawing power.

What don't you get about hardcore fans meaning very little in terms of PPV buys? Go run a poll and see how many of these hardcore fans ordered Spence vs Porter or Charlo brothers doubleheader or Spence vs Garcia. The casuals still are the biggest factor when it comes to PPV buys. Even if Spence vs DSG stayed in November, these same hardcore fans on this site wouldn't have purchased the PPV.

We can revisit this after the fight, but you are smoking some good stuff if you think it does as low as 150k buys.

All Danny gonna do is pose and make Spence look good.

I said the A-side can dictate where the fight goes but I don't think that's what happened here. If Spence was hellbent of wanting it at AT&T stadium before the pandemic, then what exactly was Garcia going to say? He could have fought to have it elsewhere, but he isn't the main draw here. It goes without saying most of the big fights take place in Vegas or NY...And that's where this fight was headed.

You can't say "it's very abnormal" without ignoring why exactly this fight is taking place where it is. We are in "abnormal" circumstances with the pandemic. Danny isn't going to say don't do the fight in Dallas when it will help his own pockets with the big live gate.

Danny is a draw, and he can sell out. For his first PPV his fans will show up...

Danny Garcia just might surprise a whole lot of fans come December 5, 2020. He always seems to do much better when he's the underdog. I thought that he had a good chance of beating Errol Spence before the accident. Now I'm almost sure of it, Spence is going to go through hell in this fight. If Spence is able to win this fight after his horrific accident then he's is a lot better than we all even imagined. I just don't see this fight playing out that way. Danny knows that if he doesn't win this fight he's just going to be a stepping stone for other up, and coming fighters.
