Mayweather Blasts Margarito, Spinks

Ok so it's painfully obvious at this point that Mayweather is not going to fight Margarito anytime soon. A year ago, Mayweather would have said the same things about Baldomir that he's saying about Margarito. The difference is, Margarito took out Manuel Gomez, and Baldomir, in the same time frame, has taken out Judah and Gatti. Margarito is supposed to fight on a doubleheader with Cotto in December. If Margarito's people can't get him in an attractive fight then to give Mayweather something to be attracted to, then they only have themselves to blame. Margarito should have taken the hint a long time ago and tried to force the issue instead of simply waiting for Mayweather to come around. Margarito has not done enough to be irresistible to Mayweather. Meanwhile, Baldomir has become the welterweight champion, and even if Mayweather feels he will beat Baldomir easily, to achieve the welterweight championship is something that attracts Floyd and something he knows will shut people up.

The depressing fact of this is, regardless of what you think of Baldomir, if Mayweather beats him, Mayweather is undeniably the welterweight champion having beaten the man who beat the man. I don't like it, but I can't argue with it.

very good post. theres no need to ***** about floyd not fighting marg now. let his handlers set up a meaningful fight for marg next and if he successful i'm sure we will see floyd-marg.

Neither Margarito or Spinks suck. They are both very good fighters. I really want to see Mayweather fight Both. Margarito needs to fight some names though so we can see what he can really do. yea your opinion counts just like mine....I'm not a fan of neither of the two...spinks talks too muck indeed w/o backing anything up...Margi is the same way...need does need more top notch fights under his belt before demanding a big payday....whether people believe it or not, your name has a lot to do with the amount of money you make per fight...Margi aint a household name...spinks still needs to fight one more big timer before he goes about running his mouth....

You gotta give props to Arum for his market propaganda. He made a shrewd but subtle move knowing PBF was leaning toward DLH and Mosley and he got away with it. The end result, Margarito was hyped and people are talking about him.
