    Mayweather Blasts Margarito, Spinks

Floyd Mayweather, Jr. went on the attack during a recent interview with the Grand Rapids Press. Mayweather said that he is not focusing on the record of Carlos Baldomir, he is putting his focus on the fighter, and not taking the WBC champion lightly on November 4 in Las Vegas. Regardless of what the critics say, Mayweather feels Baldomir deserves the fight. [details]

"To be pound-for-pound, to be mentioned in the same breath as Sugar Ray Robinson and Sugar Ray Leonard, you have to have done great things in boxing," Mayweather said. "For him, he held a title at 147, then went to 154, failed, came back down, fought a couple cab drivers, and now he's in line to fight Floyd Mayweather? It doesn't work that way."

I don't see the point in that. Shouldn't he be promoting himself and his opponents? Wouldn't that be the smarter thing to do so people give you credit.

Floyd's a tard. Has an IQ of a 2 year old.

Why should be promote Antonio Margarito when Margarito doesn't give you anything to promote him with?

        P4p

We will see how long Mayweather remains P4P King..............considering Floyd beats Baldomir, Floyd would be faced to fight top leave competition ( i.e. Miguel Cotto, Kassim Ouma, Paul Williams, Riviera or someone on that level.......not to mention Mosley or DLH ) so if you ask me PBF is the one that needs to enjoy the P4P recognition now because I seriously doubt a year from now he is still recognized as the P4P King. And to be honest I feel Winky Wright is the P4P King. I will make the arguement who has PBF fought that was a tough apponent other that Castillo, Corrales, *Gatti and Judah? Just for the record I am not a "Mayweather Hater", I just want to see PBF fight high caliber apponents........I know that boxing is a business of making smart decisions, but if you are going to talk the talk of being the greatest.......LOL..........then fight the best thats out there.

Ouma doesn't deserve any big fight, until he avenges his loss to Karmazin, in my opinion.
Anyway, I'm just like you, I want to see the big fights too, but let's be honest with ourselves, a fight with Paul Williams or Miguel Cotto is not going to happen anytime soon for a number of reasons.

I want to see him fight De La Hoya's sacrificial lamb (Mosley).

He fought them as a last choices or because he had to.
Before he had an opponent for Nov. 4th he said Antonio Margarito was a last choice.
Chop Chop Corley - last choice, he wanted Ricky Hatton
Henry Bruseles - to get to Gatti
