I'll just add, Gamboa old as f**k now. Let's disregard his "accomplishments" now Haney. You should run right over him. K, thx, good bye.

Disappointing fight I know... He's probably just saying that Gamboa does have some pedigree and cannot be overlooked or taken lightly. He still trained hard and hopes to destroy Gamboa.
By my count there were at least 6 better opponents for Haney. Why those fights couldn't be made I don't know. Some of them were scheduling conflicts....

If Haney somehow loses... there are 3-4 fans on NSB that I def want to hear from...

        Lmao

Gamboa was in his prime when he beat Salido, he was an athletic beast back then.

He's just a name now. Even a young guy like Haney should be above fighting Gamboa at this stage.

Hopefully he doesn’t go in there safety first but in there to walk Gamboa down and get him outta there within 5!

Is he aware Gamboa is old and wash up, he speaks of these victories as if they were recent

That's exactly what it is. Provided he beats Gambia, it's the biggest name on his ledger. The next biggest name on his resume is maybe Juan Carlos Burgos? Haney is a skilled fighter but he hasn't fought anyone who is a legitimate threat or an actual name with some pedigree.

There are probably better options but not sure what's realistic with DAZN's current financial situation, opponent's schedules, Haney's willingness and what type of purses are being requested without live gates.

Let's see if he can decisively stop Gambia.

To be honest, I didn't take the Covid situation into consideration so it is good that Haney is at least staying busy.

But Gamboa has too many things going against him. Coming off a loss, pushing 40, been past his best days since at least 5 years ago. He is a name, he just doesn't present much of a challenge at all.

Well, let's just hope Haney does what he's supposed to do and stop Gamboa more impressively than Tank did.
