Dumb move and statement he literally saved his career by throwing in the towel. If I was a trainer I would never let anyone get beat to a pulp cause of pride. Live the next day you already lost the fight no need to extend a ass whooping and wind up like Gerald McClellan. History repeats itself flick pride.

Either take up Floyd on his offer or get with Robert Garcia.
Those are the only 2 who can help him with this particular fight

Good news. Breland is punch drunk and only seems to show up on fight night to coach Wilder. Never understood that. You always see Deas and Cuz Hill training him.

Went through the whole thread and seen lots of varying opinions on the trainer needed and what he needs to work on......... but has there EVER been a boxer like Wilder? guy bobbles my mind every time he fights!

I don't think there is a "correct tactic" or anything a trainer should work on in a traditional boxing sense with Wilder.

Wilder is unorthodox and has got by on a combo of sharp-shooting power, speed and athletisism. Couple that with heart and his fitness, and the fact he does not get discouraged, height&reach...... he always pulls out a KO.

I don't believe you can take that away, and I don't believe he can box Fury for long. I'd try and nail him when coming forward, counter punch...... this "slug it out" or "push him back" is not happening with Fury.

Distance control, going back..... counter punching.......

Wilder will not learn new tricks at 35, but he can refine his sharp-shooting style and learn to go backwards doing it.

I don’t suppose it matters at this point, he’s 35 and just took the worst beating of his life. He’s not going to learn anything new now at this age, Plus he is too happy to surround himself with yes men to learn anything new.

Fury will send him into retirement.

His lack of self awareness is the reason he cannot box.

But this is boxing, when a fighter loses, someone else is going to take the blame.

I always wanted you to beat the loud mouth, even with him being trained by my Detroit dude Sugar Hill I was going to root for you, but now I hope Fury beat the living **** yep I said it s_it out of you! Breland at least did the right thing as a trainer, I could care less if he does anything right in the gym but you blew it this time. Alabama house negro! Yep I said that 2. Stepping fetch it
