I’m betting there’s more to this contract than what people assume. Otherwise the gymnastics on display to launch a lawsuit would be a waste of time. Additionally he was willing to take a 30% cut to fight BJS and they insisted he take 50%. Like him, I’d say f@ck that and further inform them to cram it up their backside. Are you saying BJS is a ***** fight and a nobody?

Canelo gets to dictate his own career and he is willing to take them to court over it. If he wins then that proves not a single person knows anything about what is in this contract.. if he loses he pushes on and will continue to dominate. The detractors will always be there no matter who this man fights. So that is nothing new.
You say, "The detractors will always be there no matter who this man fights." I say the detractors have good reason to criticize Canelo. After all, even though they each turned down record payday offers to fight Canelo, it is really Canelo who ducked Smith, Saunders, Charlo, Derevyanchenko, Plant and a bunch of other fighters. Besides that everyone knows Canelo would have ducked, Ray Leonard, Duran, Sugar Ray Robinson, Carlos Monzon, John the Beast Mugabe, Hagler, Tony Zale, Joe Louis, Muhammed Ali and Willie Pep. And let's not forget that, unlike the brave shepherd boy David, Canelo would have also ducked Goliath.

In fact Golden Boy statement through spokesperson Stefan Friedman a few weeks ago alludes to the fact that GB agreement with Canelo has a Force Majuere Clause.
“Even though our contract specifically gives Golden Boy the right to wait until the pandemic is over and fans can return” i.e. Golden Boy doesn’t have to owned up to their agreement until this Covid 19 situation is taken care of.
I agree it is difficult to nail this without access to the actual contract. We shall see how this plays out.

Like I thought, he simply wants out. He doesn't want to be under Golden Boy anymore which thus also cuts his ties with DAZN. He can make the money they're offering him anywhere else with more of a guarantee in PPV upside. How many people in a whole subbed to DAZN just to watch Canelo fight twice a year? This might have him out of the ring for a little while but ultimately they're going to part ways. That being said, Golden Boy is on life support.

LMAO, Golden Boy has arguably the best up and comer in the game today in Vergil Ortiz Jr. not to mention the most popular of the young crop in Ryan Garcia. Throw in there Munguia, JoJo Diaz, Rocha, Ellis, Bek the Bully, Hector Tenajara, Joshua Franco etc... they’ll be creating new stars while Canelo will be sitting home waiting for a judgement.

#2 Canelo did not agree to fight GGG as a condition of his contract. GGG wasn't signed to DAZN when Canelo signed.

              # Canelo agreed to fight GGG May of 2020 and GGG turned it down and the fight was moved to September 2020. But the pandemic ended that possibility.
when the fight was offered to him canelo turned it down and faced kovalev instead..only after did canelo say he was willing to face golovkin and by then golovkin said no...then the covid kicked in.
Jeez even the WBC now have tried to pass on a can for canelo to fight and DAZN stepped in and said no...canelo wants minimum risk for a pig payout and if I was DAZN I’ll tell him to **** himself which is what they have done.
There is no paying audience at boxing at the moment and canelo still wants top dollar.
It ain’t going to happen because like or not he doesn’t bring good numbers to the table if he fights boxers who don’t share top billing
Where is canelo going to go at the moment and it certainly won’t be showtime who will lose a fortune with what canelo wants

                Industry have been trying to
Find out if DAZN and GBP had made a deal to deliver a GGG fight. So, maybe you don’t know how business works, but that’s fraud if a narrative was created for Canelo to fight GGG without his consent. FFS, he fought GGG BY HBO terms and a deal presented you dummy!

You come from a weak cloth of reasoning, and you’d probably take out your bosses garbage just because of insecurity to lose your job. Canelo ain’t about that life.

The real reason why you’re upset and BRING up GGG is because you guys now realize Golovkin’a multi deal could be in jeopardy. Guess what! Canelo doesn’t care! Don’t double dip off his success! I’m just hoping that DAZN discloses that they wrote GGg in writing for their own deal as well as GGG’s deal with DAZN! THat would detail fraud, technically!

If you want the cliff notes for what I said just think of it like this: Canelo is the HNIC!
gumbo the issue is with golden boy if they have negotiated with DAZN and not informed canelo .
Take your tongue out of canelo ginger rear ...diva wants his cake and not eat it.
I’m happy canelo is in limbo now as he has Manipulated every fight he has been in since his loss to mayweather.
**** the drug cheat and I couldn’t a give a **** about golovkins contract lol

Once fans come back he will be mandated to fight GGG & can decide to take the fight, DAZN will offer him full pay for that fight, but GBP will not do that fight until fans can come back and pay for tickets.
In two years time GGG will be 40. I'm shocked he's still fighting now as his style isnt really conducive to guys fighting this late in their career.

semantics; Canelo is not going to stay out of the ring for two+ years while a lawsuit drags on. They'll reach an agreement.
