Everyone has an opinion on who's right or wrong, and honestly all of them probably have at least a hint of truth to them, but no matter what I think it's obvious that the business relationship going on here is fundamentally broken and should probably come to an end, amicably if possible. If nothing else, it should be obvious now that Canelo and Oscar are no good for each other. This isn't the first time they've been at each other's throats.

You must be one of the dumbest posters on the forum. Maybe you haven’t heard...but GGG was not written in Canelo’s contract and GBP never told Canelo that he NEEDED to fight GGG upon signing to DAZN.

      Industry have been trying to
Find out if DAZN and GBP had made a deal to deliver a GGG fight. So, maybe you don’t know how business works, but that’s fraud if a narrative was created for Canelo to fight GGG without his consent. FFS, he fought GGG BY HBO terms and a deal presented you dummy!

You come from a weak cloth of reasoning, and you’d probably take out your bosses garbage just because of insecurity to lose your job. Canelo ain’t about that life.

The real reason why you’re upset and BRING up GGG is because you guys now realize Golovkin’a multi deal could be in jeopardy. Guess what! Canelo doesn’t care! Don’t double dip off his success! I’m just hoping that DAZN discloses that they wrote GGg in writing for their own deal as well as GGG’s deal with DAZN! THat would detail fraud, technically!

If you want the cliff notes for what I said just think of it like this: Canelo is the HNIC!

that’s what those dumb writers are saying. probably because people from dazn and gbp are telling them that. he didn’t refile, he filed an entirely new lawsuit. one much more refined. gbp is screwed

#2 Canelo did not agree to fight GGG as a condition of his contract. GGG wasn't signed to DAZN when Canelo signed.

          # Canelo agreed to fight GGG May of 2020 and GGG turned it down and the fight was moved to September 2020. But the pandemic ended that possibility.
Golovkin Ready to Avenge Alvarez Loss, but Szeremeta Will Come First

          May 6, 2020:

But while Golovkin intends to avenge his loss to Alvarez in the near future, he told SI that he plans to first face off against his mandatory challenger, the undefeated middleweight Kamil Szeremeta, before meeting with Alvarez for the third time (their first bout, in September 2017, ended in a split decision draw).

“I made a commitment before all this situation with coronavirus happened,” Golovkin said. “I’m talking about my fight with Szeremeta. I intend to keep my word. Once the situation changes, as soon as everything is back to normal, I intend to have this fight first...”

Golovkin also said he didn’t particularly care that Canelo’s camp has said it would like to complete the trilogy in September, marking the return bout for both boxers on DAZN’s streaming service. Golovkin said that Team Alvarez delayed the bout last fall, forcing him at that point to sign an alternative contract, which he did, with Szeremeta, while Alvarez decided on a bout with Billy Joe Saunders. “I should point out that there is always two sides,” Golovkin said. “They actually avoided this fight in September. They didn’t want to fight in May of 2020. So I went my way. I have my own career, and I figured: How long should I wait?”

Canelo has to much cartel backing in Mexico for ODLH to try anything south of rhe border. I also don't think Nelo would even take a bottle of water from Oscar in the states either. Now Oscar could possibly have some sort of blackmail on him though, you never know

I was going to say “stopped reading here” after “...to fight Golovkin.”

Again, maybe you’re not getting it. Lol. You said “refused.” Who was ENFORCING this fight to Canelo? LMAO. You realize
Part of this lawsuit is fraud and approval of opponents. Realize Canelo is suing because fans like you think it’s Canelo’s fault! The GGG series ENDED on HBO! His multi-deal never had any mention of GGG.

You’re just insecure that perhaps GGG’s contract did! Which means GGG might be in a fiasco of his own right now because GGG may have signed with DAZN acknowledging that he was intended to fight him. Now with Canelo not knowing any of that is bad. You realize that’s bad?

Once fans come back he will be mandated to fight GGG & can decide to take the fight, DAZN will offer him full pay for that fight, but GBP will not do that fight until fans can come back and pay for tickets.
Don't mean to spoil your wett dream about Oscar and Golden Boy but Oscar has committed fraud. He will be lucky if he doesn't go out of business. I addition to the fraud regarding Canelo, he deceived DAZN, ******ly I might add. I would not be surprised if DAZN sues Golden Boy and Oscar as well. The best outcome for Oscar is to negotiate a buy out of Canelo's contract. Canelo can go his own way with other promoters and platforms and Oscar will not have to declare bankruptcy, unless of course, DAZN decides to play hard ball with Oscar. In that case, Oscar will become yesterday's news.

Force majeure regarding Canelo does not apply here. DAZN has no contract with Canelo. When you peel back the layers, the real beef here is between Canelo and Golden Boy and that contract does not reference anything regarding force majeure. That does not mean however that DAZN is off the hook. They did guarantee to pay GB $40 million per Canelo fight. Not mention of has been reported of a force majeure clause in that contract, so the pandemic is irrelevant here. DAZN itself says it is not paying because Canelo needs to fight a "premium" fight. That excludes fighting anyone except Oscar, GGG and a couple of MMA fighters. I suppose if GB lines up a boxing match between Canelo and a trained kangaroo that would be OK, DAZN would cough up the $40 million to steam that match.
