Dayam, Canelo really wants to be away from Golden Boy and Dazn. To be fair, he beat Golovkin in a close but clear victory, I thought, in the rematch. GGG hasn't looked the same since. I'd like to see Canelo vs Charlo, even if at super middleweight.

Canelo probably beats Charlo, he's more powerful and skillful than the twin but would like to see it.

Hopefully Canelo actually wants the best opponents out there, not the softest options that will make the most money.

As someone who has several lawyers in the family I can say this is fairly common.
Looks like the initial filing was too broad and the judge basically said re file and make it clear what actions you are asking a court to take.
This happens often and saves time with pre trial motions and other minutiae.
Not sure this actually gets in front of a jury. I think DAZN and Oscar know that won’t end well for them.
I think they will eventually settle after some posturing.

That does not mean however that DAZN is off the hook. They did guarantee to pay GB $40 million per Canelo fight. Not mention of has been reported of a force majeure clause in that contract, so the pandemic is irrelevant here. DAZN itself says it is not paying because Canelo needs to fight a "premium" fight. That excludes fighting anyone except Oscar, GGG and a couple of MMA fighters. I suppose if GB lines up a boxing match between Canelo and a trained kangaroo that would be OK, DAZN would cough up the $40 million to steam that match.
You realized Golden Boy’s contract w/t Canelo has not been publicly available? So for you to say there’s isn’t a “force majeure” clause is clearly speculation on your behalf. Truth be told most major contracts whether in sports or in the entertainment business have a force majeure clause written in the contract for situations just like what’s happening now w/t Covid 19 fiasco. Anyhow, I ain’t gonna come here and speculate what is and what isn’t in the contract @ the end of the day this will cost Canelo yrs not months of his prime awaiting a judgment, just ask Mikey Garcia or Andre Ward how long it took them to break from their promoters.

I did not say there isn't a force majeurs clause GB's contract with Canelo. I said no mention has been made of a force majeure clause. I seriously doubt that one exists. In fact as reported in the article, "In the Alvarez Contract Golden Boy Promotions and De La Hoya personally committed to make the guaranteed payments." So the likelihood that a force majeure clause exists approaches zero. Canelo has no contract with DAZN so a force majeure clause is irrelevant here. How long Canelo goes without fighting, remains to be seen because in his pleadings in the suit he is asking the court for a temorary injunction to allow him to fight until this suit is settled in court.

***n cheating Diva. I hope he doesn't make a god damn dime in 2020. This is what happens when you demand millions for fighting the likes of Rocky Fielding and claiming to be some kind of fake champion.

            Drugs are bad Redballs.

So wait a minute he fights HHH twice (S h ! T fight) he fights Kovalev and does something an extreme elite few have ever done in the history of boxing (s h ! T fight). And it’s highly doubtful “they” get to pick his opponent. Have you seen it? Has anyone for that matter seen it. Anyone saying “they” get to pick his opponent is based upon utter assumption. I’m betting there’s more to this contract than what people assume. Otherwise the gymnastics on display to launch a lawsuit would be a waste of time. Additionally he was willing to take a 30% cut to fight BJS and they insisted he take 50%. Like him, I’d say f@ck that and further inform them to cram it up their backside. Are you saying BJS is a ***** fight and a nobody?

Canelo gets to dictate his own career and he is willing to take them to court over it. If he wins then that proves not a single person knows anything about what is in this contract.. if he loses he pushes on and will continue to dominate. The detractors will always be there no matter who this man fights. So that is nothing new.

Actually, you’re exact quote was “that contract does not reference anything regarding force majeure.” Again, that is pure speculation seeing how there is no possible way you have seen the contract unless you’re DAZN, Canelo, Golden Boy or their representatives. In fact Golden Boy statement through spokesperson Stefan Friedman a few weeks ago alludes to the fact that GB agreement with Canelo has a Force Majuere Clause.
“Even though our contract specifically gives Golden Boy the right to wait until the pandemic is over and fans can return” i.e. Golden Boy doesn’t have to owned up to their agreement until this Covid 19 situation is taken care of.
