I think Cotto hurts Thurman a few times and that will make the difference on the cards. Thurman will have some moments, but I've got 7-5 Cotto.
Don’t think so. Thurman moves why more and fights off that movement pretty astonishingly and is a much better counter puncher than Mosley.

I see Thurman hurting Cotto badly, early, (as was usually the case for Cotto anyway). Probably more than once, but Thurman always backs off from the crazy power and athleticism he really has to pace himself. I don’t think Cotto gets stopped. Likely ends up a tough and close fight. Leaning on Thurman though. He’s a bit bigger, longer, probably slightly more stamina, more power, much better two handed fighter too.

Thurman is/was also very elusive, he is not nearly as easy to hit as Mosley, and nor is Cotto not easy to hit. Thurman can score easier than Cotto can. If you look at Cotto’s career, he beat guy’s by breaking them. He fought through storms to beat them. But if they are still around, he can find himself with a loss or in trouble late as he’s usually fairly gassed.

That was not prime cotto. He had gotten plastered by margacheato and never looked the same again. Also prime cotto had Evangelista as his trainer he had his friend training him for that fight. Cottos prime died July 26 2008

What;s really fugged, is that Cotto lost to a zombie version of Margarito.

I give the edge to Cotto man. Especially with Roach in his corner. Thurman is no joke but.nobody goes to war like Cotto does.

I’m rolling with Cotto here. Thurman’s chin has been shaky and he just isn’t as skilled.

Hell, in my opinion, that past prime Shane is better than Thurman in almost every facet.

Thurman succumbs to that left hook eventually and gets picked off his rhythm all night with Cotto’s jab.

Stylistically, people keep saying this is a bad matchup for Cotto but I think it’s the opposite. Cotto always had issues with otherworldly pressure from guys who could *handle* his power, southpaws, and elite counter punchers.

Thurman doesn’t survive 12. That pre-marg Cotto was mean and not gun shy at all. Too methodical, strong, skilled, and sharp for Thurman.

Cotto would have a field day walking him down and Thurman would be too wide with the majority of his punches for any real concern from Cotto.

If Josesito Lopez’s small ass walks you down and almost stops you, imagine a prime Cotto. He’d hurt this man.
Exactly! This is where you drop the mic bro.....

Cotto was relentless in the first half against Manny, which resulted in him getting knockdown twice. Manny was just a monster fighting at a backfoot. Thurman is easily the smarter fighter.

Thurman will win against Cotto by decision
there is an article explains how pacman deceives people about his size. he has the skeletal frame that is bigger than his looks. example his wrists is 8 inches which is the size of mike tyson's, while the most average person has only 7". thats how he can carry his speed and power up to WW. and i think that his limit cant go pass 150lbs due to his height. also look at his badass calf. literally a hulk calves.

Wow this is actually an interesting match-up. Thurman has the power that can put Cotto on *****. Cotto’s body punching can also make Thurman fold. Both have great abilities. Both can box and move. This can be a war, this can be a little chess match, or this can work both ways too.

Cotto is battle proven at elite level, many times proven, I believe he would break Keith down and stop him late round. he would do it in 6 rounds against the broken version Manny fought, who has Thurman beat ?

For me the modern guys TC Spence Thurman Porter are not proven at the level of the last generation guys , to be honest todays best have done fck all by comparison with the last generation, Floyd Manny Oscar Cotto Mosley have many times been in superfights , this lot been in none.
