Well that idiot Boxing Goat.... Claims prime just means your in your 20s and win fights.

So I guess that's the logic behind this

Cotto is the most overrated fighter ever. He lost nearly all bigger fights.
The fact you think he was prime at 147 and prime against pacquiao shows you are a casual. Cotto’s prime was at 140. He was a high level Olympic/amateur and Dominated 140. Once he moved up and fought margarito, who beat him to a pulp with plaster in his gloves he was physically and physiologically destroyed...and of course that’s when PAC fights him..at a catch weight and still goes 12 rounds with him lol.

Name me 1 fighter pac fought, in his prime, NOT AT A CATCHWEIGHT that was a great fighter...I’ll wait...

Thurman is like Randall Bailey. Can punch like a m fer but cant take body shots. Prime Cotto's money punch was that left hook to the body. Cotto stops Thurman late.

I would give Cotto the edge to win with his body punching and punching power.

Close fight, Cotto at 147 still threw that left hook to the body and we know Thurman don’t like being hit to the body. Thurman is the physically stronger guy, more athletic. I’d go with thurman by close decision in which Cotto believes he was robbed.

                  Thurmans weakness is Cottos strength
Cotto knocks him out with a bodyshot, or atleast that will be his path to victory

Probably Thurman. I think his explosive in and out style would work well against Cotto and he can ****

Youre out of your mind. Pac was a completely different human. Some would even say he was juicing. Regardless, Thurman doesnt make it out the first round against THAT Pac.

I’m rolling with Cotto here. Thurman’s chin has been shaky and he just isn’t as skilled.

Hell, in my opinion, that past prime Shane is better than Thurman in almost every facet.

Thurman succumbs to that left hook eventually and gets picked off his rhythm all night with Cotto’s jab.

Stylistically, people keep saying this is a bad matchup for Cotto but I think it’s the opposite. Cotto always had issues with otherworldly pressure from guys who could *handle* his power, southpaws, and elite counter punchers.

Thurman doesn’t survive 12. That pre-marg Cotto was mean and not gun shy at all. Too methodical, strong, skilled, and sharp for Thurman.

Cotto would have a field day walking him down and Thurman would be too wide with the majority of his punches for any real concern from Cotto.

If Josesito Lopez’s small ass walks you down and almost stops you, imagine a prime Cotto. He’d hurt this man.
