GGG also never refused the 3rd Canelo fight. Its was Canelo who out right refused.

When they were negotiating with GGG in early 2019, Oscar said he could get Canelo do a GGG trilogy fight despite Canelo having no obligation to do so.
He did this to get his own DAZN deal for his GBP fighters.
This was news to Canelo who was done with GGG eating off his name.
This caused DAZN to try and force the GGG fight by not approving any other fighters and not paying up for opponents. It was confirmed by both sides that Canelo and Andrade were in talks to fight last September but DAZN wouldn’t do the fight. This would have been a unification fight that trumps any mandatories and allowed Canelo to hold all the MW titles which was his stated goal.
Then Haymon pulled some bs forcing the IBO mandatory despite Canelo just winning the title in his previous fight. Derevenchenko priced himself out then took the same amount offered to fight GGG.
All in all GBP is supposed to represent Canelo’s interests and they weren’t doing that. DAZN offered a contract they weren’t holding up their end of.
I think this ends with a settlement and Canelo not working with a single promoter. Doing each fight as a single deal to max out his earnings.

GGG Promotins has had Rolls and Szeremeta. $7mil cash for each fight. GGG doesn’t have stock. Just a savings reserve.
