Did Anthony Joshua fight SCURRED in the Andy Ruiz rematch?

After talking mad ish about Tyson Fury "running" in fights, AJ put on a laughable running show in the Ruiz rematch. But was he scared, or was it an intelligent decision?

he was terrified to engage, even when he was pitching a shut out against an obese out of shape Mexican. It was embarrassing to be honest, nothing like how Lewis handled his redemption matches.

Yes but its what he had to do. Ruiz has a Mexican chin and better hand speed, you dont wanna go slugging it out with him. Most of the people critiquing Joshua for his performance are just clinging to that because they were hoping Ruiz would spark him out again and eliminate him from the picture. Its likely he fights differently vs Pulev and gets the KO though.

It wasn’t the running that made it bad, he did what he had to do, but he looked absolutely petrified the few timed Ruiz got close and threw shots. So that let’s me know he fought scared.

AJ can’t run from everyone, he won’t have a big sloth infront of him in future

He is going to fold when somebody puts it on him

              Yes.

He was right to box on the back foot and use his superior range, but he should have thrown more power shots than he did.

Theres a difference between storming in, planting your feet, squaring up and slinging for the fences, and knowing when to drop a right hand in over the top.

Joshua went from one extreme to the other, it got the job done, but really he should have been somewhere between those two performances.

I will say tough I don't totally write him off based on that performance

After Lewis got iced by Mccall he also looked very tentetive in his first couple of fights after that, as we all know he got over it after a while though.

One of the big differences between Fury on the backfoot compared to AJ is that Fury never looks scared. His body language and mannerisms are that of someone who feels in control and is fighting the way he wants to, even in rounds he doesn't clearly win. Whereas AJ was not enjoying himself, looked anxious especially when Ruiz got close and as if he wanted to just reach the end of each round. He fought smart though so credit for that, but looked unconvincing using that style

He definitely fought scared just look at the 8th round when Ruiz got close and landed a little shot, he was shaken physically and mentally, trying to look at the ref for help, you can call it what you want but he had to do what he had to do to get those belts back. The pressure was on and the fact that that fat man turned up even more obese, made it even more easy as the phucka couldn't move a few inches.
