I essentially agree with what you say. The problem is, could Povetkin catch Wilder before Wilder catches him? For the Povetkin of now, I think that "no" is the answer.

Then again, Wilder's psyche has probably been definitively ruined by Fury, so one never knows. He could very well end like Roy Jones Jr when he was iced by Glen Johnson right after having been knocked out by Tarver...

Rule of thumb on boxingscene: there are no good boxers, nor have there ever been, everyone is garbage, if they've lost one they're a bum who isn't worth crap and if they haven't lost they're a bum who isn't worth crap who just hasn't been found out yet

Wilder's right hand is legit. Too bad he is one trick pony.

It has been mentioned on here many times 'That Wilder hits hard but? His power has limited application and variation. Most of Wilder's power shots are wide punches, he struggles to throw straight punches, and is challenged by the idea of short compact punches etc'.

Povetkin actually punches harder than Wilder and Wilder is yet to knockout any half-decent boxer apart PBC jocks and tomato cans. LMAOOO.
Wilder has great punching power especially with his straight right. i don't see how that can be denied.

I can`t see that. I think Povetkin stops Wilder by uppercut. Wilder has even worse defense than Whyte.

                Agreed.

I’ve heard at least 4 interviews with boxers who have sparred the top heavyweights saying that he is by far the hardest puncher out of the bunch.

One American Philly dude who supposedly knocked down/hurt Joshua in sparring rated Wilders power a 10, Wlad an 8 or 9 and Joshua a 7.

                His power is undeniable

He’s fought 41 heavyweights and knocked out all of them except for the best heavyweight in the world.

He has the highest KO percentage in heavyweight championship history.

I watched a guy convulse on the canvas after wilder knocked him out and his wife wept because she thought he died.

So, I think he punches pretty hard.

                    Very good =/= great.

Greatness is determined by the level of opposition he knocked out with that right hand. Until he knocks out a legit top-5 HW who isn’t a PBC jock - it’s up in the air.

Wilder got battered from pillar to post by the only decent HW he fought in 13 yrs and the guy (who’s chinny) took all his best punches.

Povetkin was always going to beat any version of Wilder. He’s too crafty with power in both hands for Wilder.

Wilder is a shot boxer now and boxers like him never recover from that type of beating. He’s basically what Rid**** Bowe was after Golota destroyed him.
