Have seen the pandemic used as an excuse for a few fighters now, as if their opponent didn't have to deal with the exact same thing

Not a great performance by Ramirez, but VP was Taylor's hardest fight as well. Taylor>Ramirez at this point imo but Taylor seems happy to go to war rather than box which suits Ramirez. Expecting a close fight where both bleed either way

      Baranchyk is a swarmer.

Mexican swarming is a hit or miss. Taylor will get partners for that style. Look at how Loma handled a swarmer in Salido. Even Angulo last night had a problem with a nemesis swarmer. Ugas couldn’t get rid of a Figueroa Jr. swarmer.

Sometimes pure boxing doesn’t work well against swarmers. then again “pure” is subjective.

I agree it will be it an interesting fight. I’m picking Taylor because he got dog in him when the going gets tough. To beat a Mexican swarmer you gotta go gangsta too.

Roach doesn’t allow full swarming, not like Devry’s style. Robert Garcia don’t care

I favour Taylor in that one for sure.

            Should be an entertaining fight.

I didn't even know Taylor had fans... Hasn't done much to start a bandwagon yet. 140lbs division is pretty average.

I ain't watched last night's fight yet but from the sounds it went largely as I thought although maybe Ramirez didn't take over late rounds as I was predicting.

I will watch it first but I'm thinking if Jose Carlos struggled more with a 36 year old Postol than Taylor did with the 34 year old version it's hardly a point in Ramirez' favour.

I also thought Ramirez would come on strong in the later rounds and actually get the ko
But that wasn’t the case , although he did take most of the late rounds , never came close to ko or even hurting Postol
I’m hoping for his sake that this was nothing more than ring rust if not he will have a long night with Taylor imo

Idk. I think Taylor beats Ramirez.

Jose Carlos comes across as a really good dude, but I don't think he's anything like an elite boxer, great heart and will but technically he ain't quite at that top level. Think about his 3 top fights and it's only against Hooker that he actually got a clear win, and without disrespect (cos I been a fan of Mos after ever since he came to Manchester and beat Turbo Terry) Mo's always had a bad habit of giving a away his advantages... was only a matter of time before getting dragged into exchanges bit him on his ass.

Nah, Ramirez looking like a cakewalk compared to the Prograis fight for Taylor right now.
