The reason why Ramirez is getting flamed on is because the Taylor win over Postol is being compared. Bud has nothing to do with this.

Why is there insecurity? In theory, if Taylor fans feel Ramirez is garbage then you the unification would make it easier for Taylor right? Or is the admittance that the pandemic would have affected a fighters camp? OR, if people are talking about an absent crowd, then why isn’t Ramirez being given pass for all these variables?

I’m whining? More like exposing the whining. Ramirez beat Postol. Postol didn’t bring the will to win 2 belts. He just coasted swinging lazy jabs and laying on the ropes while Ramirez was popping his head back with stiff jabs, hard punches, to the body, bringing the fight to the Ukrainian. It was a close and good fight.

I don’t have a dog in Ramirez Taylor, but we judge based on their last performances. Ramirez wasn’t too shabby coming off the pandemic as was Postol. Now Taylor has to perform. What if Taylor loses his upcoming fight or gets beat the way Ryder beat Smith? Who would then be the #1 140?

I thought Ramirez lost very clearly against Postol, and I wanted him to win it but he looked awful. Couldn't do anything about his jab or movement. Totally one dimensional, kept trying the same combos and no set ups. Just banal last performance and one that indicates he will lose again when he steps up to the top level.
