Are you talking about Andy and Povetkin? One was fat and the other old, both were considered sacrificial lambs. Both were huge upsets.

No one knows anymore to be honest, the WBC themselves don’t even know, tomorrow that might changed, depending on a lot of factors. The only positives here is now AJ/Pulev winner v Fury/Wilder winner. Right away, but with a two fights deal between them then it’s going to be another issue with mandatories sooner rather than later.

Ask the guy I responded to. He was the one calling Hearn a bad matchmaker for getting his guys beat.

But I've noticed how some people like to play "heads I win, tails you lose" games with Matchroom fights. When a match is announced, a dangerous world class puncher like Povetkin becomes a cherry pick, a sacrificial lamb. And if he wins, Eddie's an idiot for matching his guy against such a dangerous opponent ...

Povetkin became the new WBC mandatory challenger after claiming the WBC 'interim' and 'Diamond' belts yes it is in the rules . The link above shows it but I’m sure you will find a way to reject it. The link you provided is about limitations on the mandatory date not who owns it . The link you posted actually shows my point ,it states the Whyte vs Fury one is now not happening because the mandatory which Povetkin won is now reset .

The rest of your post is a lot of jargon . A draw in rematch clauses opts out any contract obligations. Breazeale won his mandatory against Molina ,anything specific afterwards is not even relevant ,Fury would have skipped him over bc of the rematch clauses he had with Wilder regardless .
I see our posts have been moved to another thread that is specifically about Povetkin not being mandatory. That's unfortunate because it makes your posts look a bit silly. Go and read the first post on this thread.

Povetkin is not mandatory. Fury has no obligation to fight Povetkin. The WBC has not named him as mandatory.

As for Fury being Wilder's mandatory I think I've made that one nice and clear for you. It wasn't because it was a direct rematch and the WBC's order for a rematch was cancelled when Fury pulled out. That is 100% clear.

And Breazeale v Whyte was ordered by the WBC. That is 100% clear.

I actually disagree with you on this one lol.

I think Fury wipes the ring with AJ and it won't be any more competitive than if Fury fights a shoe shiner off the street.

Not that I want Povetkin to happen first but I want activity and I want title defenses on his legacy and Povetkin deserves a shot far more than Whyte ever did.

Yeah was posting this immediate after Povetkin knocked Whyte Out. I think some fans thought that somehow if Whyte wins in December that he will Automatically but right back in position to get his shot at the WBC Champion in 2021 but that has been completely wiped away with that Defeat which is unfortunate for himi

If I'm Povetkin who is 40 years old...Cash In Your Shot at the WBC Champion yourself and just sit back and wait for the Winner. That Rematch has nothing to do with the WBC as Mauricio Sulaiman confirmed. So the WBC still has to Approve the rematch but I get it Eddie and fans desperately want Whyte to get his spot back but it is not as easy as beating Povetkin in a rematch

Povetkin is a warrior, I respect his boxing credentials and I would be more than happy to see Fury give him a shot at the titles, but after the AJ fight.

That's the biggest ever British fight, it would be an occasion like no other.....for us anyway.

Fair enough and it is a huge fight.

                      And Fury will win it.
