So both teams just agreed in principle then? They don’t really want to go through with it, it was all PR from both yeah?

No one's ducking Whyte, people need to drop that narrative.
I don't get why people would rather see Fury in there with a poor mans Chisora instead of AJ. Is he 'ducking' because he's trying to fight a much better and more accomplished champion who already knocked Whyte out?
I'm really not interested in seeing Fury v Whyte but here we are, days after Whyte got KO'd by a past prime Povetkin and people are in here saying they'd prefer see that pointless fight instead of Fury-AJ.
Forget about Whyte as a contender for the time being, he was given opportunities and turned them down and after the weekend, he's back on the rebuilding plan and has to worry about a rematch he might not win.
AJ has Pulev, Fury is contractually obligated for a third Wilder fight. I want to see AJ-Fury ASAP and if Whyte can get past Povetkin then he should get in there with Wilder, winner takes on the AJ-Fury winner.

If Hearn is trying to use Whyte as a road block then he wouldn't agree a deal with you and Joshua for a TWO fights deal. Fact is Whyte was due his chance due to the protection the WBC offered Wilder, you inherit Wilder's mess, that issue has gone away for now. Lets hope Whyte v Povetkin 2 doesn't happen by the end of this year because we all would be back where we are. Which was Whyte deserves his shot at the belt.

Even if Whyte wins a rematch with Povetkin his stock has declined. There were very few who were happy with Whyte being in the way of the big boys fighting and now there's even less. Whyte was odds on favourite over Povetkin who is coming up 41 and looked his age , the three top lads would hammer Whyte , one already has and fighters like Dubios and Joyce would give him heaps of trouble.

Fury has never defended his title not even once ,if he fought AJ next he wouldn’t do so in a loss . If Whyte won we wouldn’t even be discussing this because Fury knows it’s up to the WBC to decide who is up next not Hearn who he blames but ultimately it’s Fury who declined the fight to take on Wilder and signed multi fights with him to freeze AJ out but you can’t freeze out the guy who makes the money .

Fury has taken the words right out of my mouth. I've been saying that for the longest. Matchroom never wanted Anthony Joshua to fight Deontay Wilder.
Which was why they would always use Dillian Whyte as a buffer to protect AJ from Wilder. Offering Dillian Whyte on a string to Deontay Wilder was nothing more than a delaying tactic and ploy from Matchroom.
Whyte was nothing more than a puppet, tool and a pawn for Matchroom Sport to avoid "The Bronze Bomber". However, thank heavens Deontay didn't fall for the trap.
