Fact is Whyte was due his chance due to the protection the WBC offered Wilder, you inherit Wilder's mess, that issue has gone away for now. Lets hope Whyte v Povetkin 2 doesn't happen by the end of this year because we all would be back where we are. Which was Whyte deserves his shot at the belt.

You fight the best, not segway then when they are your mandatory. I beginning to see a different Fury to the one i like now. He is now sounding more like Wilder who did everything to avoid Whyte, and now that Whyte got KTFO they see it as a victory for them, fact is when it comes to fighting Whyte they weren't that keen.
Like you just said mate, even as a Fury fan, you have to take what he says with a pinch of salt. Wilder blatantly ducked Dillian Whyte for a year, and the WBC helped him do it. Fury just talked a lot of **** about being The Man and fighting whoever he wants to fight. But he only won the WBC title in Feb and hasn't been able to fight anybody since because of the pandemic and the rematch clause he signed with Wilder.

Dillian deserved a shot at the WBC title, but he killed his chance of getting it himself by fighting a dangerous guy like Povetkin instead of sitting tight and waiting.

Fury doesn't want to fight every Tom, **** and Harry in the HW division. He only wants a few prizefights to make the money and say good-bye. That's the impression I got from his to-and-fro comments over the last 18 months.

Fury will only fight Wilder 3, Joshua 1, Joshua 2, filled in-between by many Otto Walins and Schwartzs.

what protection the WBC offered wilder? Not wilders fault that Whyte ducked two final eliminators with ortiz.

Also Hearn is known for using Whyte as a roadblock. He did the same thing trying to make wilder fight Whyte.

Since when does a champion have to fight a bum to get a shot at another champion?

The problem with what Fury says here is that it simply isn't true that Hearn was using Whyte to protect AJ from him.

Dillian was WBC No1 and pushing for a title shot long before Tyson won the belt. He also payed his own lawyers to threaten the WBC with legal action unless they activated his mando immediately.

The idea of a man who loves money and being in the limelight as much as Fast Eddie trying to avoid co-promoting the biggest fight in world boxing, and one of the biggest sporting events in British history, is ludicrous, tbh.

Dillian Whyte turned down numerous title opportunities. You blokes are delusional if Whyte was American you wouldn’t lie and make up excuses for him ducking

So what if it wasn't? It's just Fury being Fury, no big deal.

Whyte is crap and i have no real interest in watching Fury jab him to bits for 12 rounds even before he got chinned by a 40yr old man.

That 40yr old man can fight though!

What an awesome punch that was! And the way he set it up by feinting the same left hook to the body that Whyte had been blocking for 4 rounds was pure class.

The only title shot Whyte turned down was against AJ. The rest is just PBC/LDBC bullshit propaganda, about as credible as their Glovegate conspiracy theory.

Anyone can agree anything in principle, they don’t have to go through it without a contract signed. you can agree something in principle for good PR or anything like that

numerous UK media sources that have documented that Whyte has turned down numerous wilder opportunities.

If glovegate was such a conspiracy why did Team Povetkin throughly check Whytes gloves to make sure their was adequate padding lol smh

Whyte is a loud mouth bum. If he was American and back by the LDBC you’d hate him
