I scored this 7-3 Katie Taylor, could see 6-4. Not far off from all three judges. I don't know what a lot of the idiots on these forums were watching, I think we are attracting more and more low-IQ UFC types by the week these days. They simply don't know how to score fights, call everything a robbery, etc. Katie was the defending champion, clearly the classier boxer, put in the quality work, defensively and offensively all-round better than Delfine Persoon. And I am a big Katie fan, who scored the first fight to Persoon. So STFU if you DKSAB.

She's a tough unit but Katie is an infinitely better boxer.
Personally I thought it was a crap fight. Person made it a wrestling match (her only chance).
Macaskill is obviously a much better boxer than Persoon, but I saw this week similar to last. I scored rounds to the better boxer rather than someone who 'wanted it'.
In fact I thought last week was a clearer win for Breakhus than this was for Taylor.

Wasn't impressed by either of them. Taylor showed some class in spots at range but on the inside she looked totally out of sorts and clueless. She also went in with her head, a lot. Technically, Persoon is the worst world title challenger I've ever seen. She was constantly off balance, arm-punching, squaring herself up and hanging her chin out to dry - just doing everything wrong. Her saving grace is that she's very tough and gutsy, which is admirable, but an Olympic gold medallist should not be struggling against a boxer of her ability. I didn't score the fight though overall it seemed pretty close. Taylor landed the cleaner, more eye-catching blows but Persoon landed a lot more (and yes- she was landing), albeit arm-punches without much power.
Conclusion: women's boxing is ****.

It makes no damn sense.

Taylor running, ducking and landing one flashy combo per round is not immense boxing skill. Persoon won 98-92 for me. It was a much worse fight than the first one, but Persoon landed the better punches, except for Katie's headbutts, which to be fair were superb. I think it's in people's/the judges' minds about Katie's so called skills, so any round she lands one flashy combination in she wins, even if in reality she spends the rest of the round stumbling about taking 6-7 shots to the head in the process.
I think the Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano scorecards have already been filled in. Serrano either knocks he rout or loses, she ain't getting a decision. Quite a poor fight this time with Persoon still a clear winner, but Povetkin vs Whyte brought the drama.
