IMO, this is the best, most competitive and anticipated fight in 2020.
Yep... and the fight Boxing needs to really promote itself in this new age. With so many sports in flux and ratings for most sports down, I applaud ESPN for the decision to try and play the long game and get this to the mass public.

If you put a gun to my head and said you can only watch one fight for the rest of 2020, it would be this.

I got Lomachenko winning a UD in a fun fight he takes over late after figuring out Lopez, who will come to KO Loma and make a statement. So. Much. Fun. Coming.

Lomachenko will get 2.5 Million and T. Lopez will get 2 Million.
Thank you. That's what I also envisioned. Arum should pay Loma at least 3 mil, tho. That's what he owes him.

Pretty gangster of Loma to cough up some dough & get this fight to the finish line. Felt like this was inevitably going to PPV—glad to be wrong on that front

That was a tad funny. Several athletes have gone that route, most already in the 7 figures of career earnings.

I like Lopez a ton. I am glad Lomachenko helped out to get this deal done. But I feel 1.25 million would have bought a ton of oatmeal and Payday bars for his family.

I mean... I could budget around that. Just sayin'.

Lopez proved against Commey that he belongs in the ring with the top dogs. He made a statement with that fight.

But he is still an inexperienced, young, mostly unproven fighter - facing the best P4P fighter on the planet.

I think it is a good fight, and I think Lopez will be competitive, but ultimately he is a large underdog. My prediction: Loma will work him out, wear him down, and will either sweep the last half of the fight (after a competitive first half) for an easy points win, or will get the knockout late.

Mad props to Lopez if he wins this one.

This fight should have a strict ped test as both of them are very possible of using PEDS.

People are missing the important factors of who wins this fight. Here's a breakdown of some of those factors:

Lomachenko: experience, can fight on his back foot, got great reflexes, good with defense, hand speed, can move in, move out, move side to side, high ring IQ

Lopez: lacks seasoning, has youth, power, speed

The winning factor: timing beats speed

If that's not enough, here's a trip down memory lane as food for thought:

396-1 amateur record, won 3 world championship belts, two Olympic gold medals, turned pro in 2013, that's Loma.

150-20 amateur record, won one world champion belt, zero Olympic medals, turned pro in 2016, that's Lopez.

Based off this analysis, Loma wins the fight.

So happy this fight got made. Unless Loma gets overconfident i think Loma will give one of his best fights for this one.
I dont think Lopez will win a single round and Loma will be ON and totally embarrass this youngster.
Loma seems abit more up for this after all the crap Lopez talked.
Remember Jordan well everyone knew dont give Mike any extra incentive or he would use it to his adv. and this will be the same for Loma.

I'm still betting you for Lopez to KO him.
