Kudos for Loma, putting greatness and legacy ahead of money. His move will be talked about for 20 years, if he wins, to put up the cash to make that fight and not since the great Pernel Whitaker, hold undisputed at lightweight. Remarkable feat. Take down big mouth Teo and his creepy dad to boot.

Loma could lose to Teo, but I hope you don't pull the same shit Rigo fans did if he doesn't.
Green? Lopez obliterated Commey in 2 rounds to become a world champion. Every other guy that beat him did so via split decision, so Lopez is his only clear loss so far. "What? Loma's having issues with guys in his 3rd weight division? He must be over the hill!" Fucking hell lmao. He's a 2x gold medalist with nearly 400 wins, who became a 5x, 3-weight world champion in 15 fights, just to be called grossly overrated by a random loser in a forum. Yeah, I'm sure Loma has trouble going to sleep at night, knowing that 1hourRat thinks he's overrated
Richard Commey is a solid lightweight and a good win for Teofimo Lopez ( at this early stage of his career ). However, like you noted, the fight was 2 rounds ; what can you take away from that? That Teo beat Commey to the punch? That the kid is hard-puncher with quick reflexes? Yeah, we knew that already.
You think Loma should be dropped from top 10 p4p, if he struggles for a win that'd make him undisputed? You must have the same dealer as Kalle Sauerland.

That's an L in my book.

Not since the late, great Pernell Whitaker has a fighter had the privilege of referring to themselves the undisputed champion of the lightweight division.
But when WBC, WBA, and WBO champ Vasyl Lomachenko meets IBF titlist Teofimo Lopez, that will likely change. 'Grasshopper meet your teacher. It's a lesson in chess♟, not tic-tac-toe, it's checkmate and match'.Last edited by TarasMarcenko; 08-13-2020, 12:44 AM.

I said, ‘Do your thing.’ He promised me he won’t lose this fight. I said, ‘OK, do your negotiations and that’s what he did. He knows what he’s worth. And with the fight in October, we have enough time for training. My son has been training and now it’s a matter of me putting the tactics in on how to beat this guy.”
AhahahahahahWhat a ****ing liar! LMAO. This guy ... I'm telling you. You can tell he was slinging in the streets at one time. This is such a bunch of crap, completely different than what he said previously in interviews.
At issue had been the offer of $1.25 million to Lopez out of approximately $4.7 million available to be split between the fighters for a fight that probably would have generated millions in gate revenue. But without spectators allowed to buy tickets it was more difficult to work out the money. In the end, Lopez will get closer to $2 million with Lomachenko said to have been willing to give up a piece of his purse to help get the deal done.
Loma owns Lopez now. Loma, with one stroke of genius, did a mind job on Lopez. He won the mental game just like that. Loma's living in Teofimo's head, rent free.
I have to applaud. Teofimo got owned!

With any elite sportsperson, there will always be detractors looking to “expose” them, or just act like contrarians who know something we don’t.
Lomachenko is not just “good”; he is one of the most jaw-droppingly talented technical fighters that we have ever seen.
Sure, there is an argument around where he ranks with the likes of Harry Greb, Jimmy Wilde, Ray Robinson, Ray Leonard, etc., but he is up there.
Understanding the technical supremacy that Lomachenko takes into the ring is not something that the average casual can do.
The key to Lomachenko’s unbelievable style is his balance and footwork. The way he glides around the ring — creating angles to attack from and pirouetting away from his opponents’ counters — is incredible.
You would almost think that Lomachenko was an accomplished dancer, huh?
His movement is downright scary at times. The way he can blitz an opponent before seemingly disappearing into thin air is insane to watch. But without the defensive acumen he possesses, this would not be as impressive.
Lomachenko’s ability to see shots coming makes it feel like the guy lives a few seconds in the future. Things just seem to slow down for him, while he bobs, weaves, and manipulates his physical being out of the way.
Then, there is his attacking prowess. His hand speed, power, and ability to increase and decrease the tempo of his attacks with jabs, combinations, and power punches from insane angles always keeps his opponents guessing.
And sometimes, the mental torture of having to do so can be enough to see even elite fighters just give up then and there. Like a kid throwing their PS4 controller across the room in frustration after another ass whooping on Madden, some boxers cannot hack it.
Nicholas Walters, Jason Sosa, Miguel Marriaga, and the previously unbeaten great, Guillermo Rigondeaux, all essentially said “no mas,” and that was that.
Can Lopez Beat Lomachenko?
It is difficult to see how Teofimo Lopez can do what the likes of other world-class lightweights and super featherweights could not in beating Lomachenko.
And before you confuse what I’m saying here, I do not consider Lopez to be world-class.
In fact, I don’t consider him anywhere near proven at all, never mind as an elite operator.Last edited by TarasMarcenko; 08-13-2020, 12:50 AM.

Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions, makes a prediction on the Lomachenko vs Lopez fight. He didn't even have to think about it.
This is why Lopez couldn't say no:

Guillermo Rigondeaux was a disgraceful mismatch that even by Lomachenko's own admission devalued that cherry-pick. Did you know that Guillermo Rigondeaux is currently fighting at his natural weight of 118 pounds now? You can tell its his real weight because at 50 years old, he should not be able to cut down to bantam.

Undisputed? I nearly spat my coffee out! Vasily Lomachenko should of been demoted in the P4P already. How is he currently over Terrence Crawford, Naoya Inoue, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez? with recent close calls and a loss to Orlando Salido?
Teofimo shut the haters up and got everything he wanted -- I call that a win.
The bold: We are too nice for not asking them to eat their crow. That's the problem with fanboys. They jump in without knowledge.
[The guy who has a problem with my avi, I consider Davis the best current African American fighter, followed by Crawford, Spence (maybe not anymore), Lubin. To each his own.]

You see, the kid is too prideful to have people calling him a duck. He can't let people call him that. So peer pressure from the fans made Teofimo rethink the whole thing. Because he was going to try to push it out. But he's "starting to come around."
Then, Lomachenko, no only defies this braggart's BS about Loma being scared of him, he pays Teofimo OUT OF HIS OWN DAMN PURSE to fight him. Lopez couldn't run EVEN IF HE WANTED TO. I repeat: HE COULDN'T RUN EVEN IF HE WANTED TO. He already second guessed himself after the public started throwing tomatoes at him.
But even more than that, TEOFIMO IS IN THE RING FOR ONE REASON AND ONE REASON ONLY—LOMACHENKO MADE HIM GET IN THE RING. HE MADE HIM! POWER PLAY.
So now, every time Lopez is training, thinking about the fight, preparing for it, hearing Loma's name, everything to do with Loma, he's going to know that it was LOMA that made him get in the ring.
I'm telling you, LOMA IS LIVING IN HIS HEAD, RENT FREE. MONEY IS POWERFUL AND LOMA BOUGHT LOPEZ. HE OWNS LOPEZ NOW AND LOPEZ IS HIS *****Last edited by Cypocryphy; 08-13-2020, 02:16 AM.
