There's money in all fights.. just not on the scale Fury can now call in if he fights AJ for unification..

£100m+ with huge PPv or a bag of nuts and the usual couple hundred thousand views?.. it's a head scratcher isn't it...

I understand Whyte is a Mando, but Whyte imo can do one. Fury or AJ (yes we know Whyte bottled AJ) fighting him beforehand is of no interest to me. I want the biggest and best fights and in this present time that doesn't involve Whyte..

Tbh i dgaf about all the alphabet belts any more, them & promoter's are the poison diluting the sport & all they add is politics & take money out of the game.

What are you talking about? AJ agreed to fight Pulev ages ago, that was because Fury was supposed to fight Wilder at a similar time. Now Wilder doesn't seem to want it and Whyte has been pushed to mandatory.

What a bad career move? If Tyson Fury relinquishes his WBC title belt to fight Anthony Joshua then it becomes vacant.

Then Whyte and Wilder would challenge for the vacated title while in the meantime Fury loses his challenge to Anthony Joshua. I kind of like that scenario.

In fairness to Hearn, Ortiz was absolute trash in his couple of fights under the matchroom banner. I remember watching his debut fight against Malik Scott and it was one of the worst fights I’d witnessed. Even that aside, Ortiz was still offered more money to fight AJ than he got against Wilder, yet still declined it.

As for Serrano, what advantages did Serrano have to wait for Taylor to receive out of interest? I’m not close to women’s boxing, but my understanding is Serrano signed a three-fight deal with a stipulated career-high payday at the end of it. Why was it understandable for Serrano to walk away from her biggest pay check?

Ortiz stank the joint out not once but twice. He has also alluded to going the WBC route in order to bring a belt to Joshua table, meaning more money for him.

Serrano has dragged her feet repeatedly over the Taylor fight, probably because she's a naturally smaller girl.

Whyte, like Ortiz, has been pursuing the WBC belt in order to strengthen his bargaining position Vs Joshua.

There's no way on Earth Fury got mega millions for the likes of Seferi, Pianeta or even the first Wilder fight.
As the man himself said "you think you've cherry picked me but I cherry picked you".

It's all about leverage in Joshua fight and fair play, it's worked out for him, but to say that Joshua somehow ducked him is wrong.

You’re missing the point that AJ-Fury won’t be viable until next summer at the earliest.

With Wilder hiding in a hole twerking somewhere, and Fury apparently in need of a fight this year, why can’t he clear up his mandatory in what would be the 3rd biggest fight out there for him?

Are you suggesting that Fury sits on the shelf until a fight with AJ materialises, instead of keeping busy with Whyte? Or are you proposing he fights another Schwarz or Wallin instead?

Pay Wilder 28 mil to step aside?? Out of who’s purse? Fury already said he’s not giving Wilder a penny to nothing and as you say, Wilder has refused any notion of step aside.

My view is that Wilder probably does want the fight, for a payday if nothing else, but behind the scenes his handlers and promoters are trying to find a way out because there’s no way they can cover the guarantees on a third, pointless fight.

That 3-fight deal with DAZN involving 2 fights with AJ seemed simple enough and was more than he got with fights against Fury, so what obstacles are you talking about? Why didn’t PBC/Fox come up with a counter offer if they thought they could do better?

Instead, he was too busy with counting another man’s purse rather than looking at legacy and look where that has got him.
