Don't get why someone has to be ducking because a fight isn't made. Garcia has a following and feels he has leverage (which he does) to make certain demands.

Linares fights Fortuna to get in line for the WBC belt. It's a fight he can win, provided his chin and skin hold up.

The pandemic and lack of live gate revenue has changed the dynamic for the time being. It hits the bigger stars the most IMO, while it gives the lower tiers the opportunity to make moves, gain rankings and fight televised fights.

Disappointed in Linares thought he had more balls than that.
Linares didn't duck Ryan. Here's what Oscar said and I quote, “I saw Linares train the other day, he sent the video over, and he looks like a machine. He looks incredible. So when I look at a fight between Ryan and Linares, it’s a fight that worries me. Should I put Ryan in with Linares just now or should I throw him in with the lions?”. Not only that, his own trainer also does not believe he's ready for Linares.

With Loma as 'franchise', and Haney 'regular', only way for WBC to be involved with any Fortuna v Linares fight is to invent a third belt.

First Fortuna supposed to fight Campbell for vacant belt. Then Haney reinstated and supposed to fight Fortuna/Campbell, now Fortuna v Linares ? If it means Haney now fights Campbell, then ok, but if Haney ends up going for a soft touch instead I'm calling foul.

Jorge Linares: Ryan Garcia Has Talent, But He’s Not Ready For A Big Fight Now

“It’s easy to see [Garcia’s confidence] because he’s young and because he win all of the fights in the first round, the easy fights,” Linares said. “You know what I’m saying? But he don’t fight with any good one boxer. You know? So, when the boxers fighting with him, everyone don’t wanna fight with him. But me, I want the fight with him. I don’t wanna [run]. I don’t need to [run]. He’s fast, yes, but … he likes talking too much. But his team know very well they don’t want [the fight]. He don’t need this fight with me.”

Jorge Linares doubts Ryan Garcia is ready to fight someone like him. Linares has noticed Garcia has plenty of speed and confidence, but the former WBA/WBC light

If we get Haney vs. Campbell...good. If we get Haney vs. Ryan Garcia or Mikey Garcia @ 140...GREAT!

Devin Haney Eyes Ryan Garcia, Open To Mikey Garcia, Broner at 140

Haney would also jump at the opportunity to move up in weight to face former champions Mikey Garcia and Adrien Broner, at the junior welterweight limits of 140-pounds...

“I want to make the biggest fights happen and if it’s up at 140lbs I’ll gladly go up and take it. A fight with Mikey Garcia, Adrien Broner, those are the big fights there. But Lightweight is where I am campaigning and I’m looking to win more and more world titles.”

WBC lightweight champion 'in recess' Devin Haney says he would love to renew his rivalry with amateur foe, Ryan Garcia, who is now a hot contender in the paid r

The truth is there Linares did NOT want that fight right now.
Lol. You sound like one of those people you're talking about. Put the Garcia pom-poms down for a bit. Neither guy's schedule lined up with the other guy due to the virus. One guy had travel issues to deal with. The other guy declined to fight on the scheduled date(as per GBP) & is going back & forth with their promoter on their business ish. Linares just got a big opportunity to get back in the mix in a big way & chose to move on. This is a high-stakes matchup & the winner is pretty much in line for a title shot. Fortuna is a more proven fighter than Garcia anyway & theres more to gain for Linares here with a win. Ain't no time for him to waste waiting on someone else.

Linares hasn’t ducked anybody his entire career and suddenly he’s ducking a c level fighter in Ryan fuccing Garcia.

The levels of ******ity sometimes is ridiculous.

Linares is top 5 in his weight, Garcia is top 5 hype jobs.
