Joe Calzaghe was Hector Camacho, a guy that relied on fast hands and movement, he had one gear and he was great at it.

Ward on the other hand was a shape shiftier. Andre looked for patterns and without fail would land with regularity. Inside, outside, punch, box Ward fought them all in their prime and beat them

If the fight takes place in USA, Ward wins no doubt

he'd just maul, hug, headbutt and low blow his way to victory with the blessings of a crooked referee. Ward style.

then his fans would call him an ATG

Kills the body constantly, stops the Welshman in 9 or 10.
That's how I see it as well.

Besides, Calzaghe would probably break some bone in his hands during the fight.

It wasn't a body shot. Jones hit Calzaghe on the nose with his forearm.

I love both guys and agree with you. It would be such an ugly fight that they’d do it again.
That said, this is one of those fights where the judges would favor whom they like

I would have to give the slight edge to Calzaghe also. The trouble with fighting Joe is his workrate and if you are not a huge puncher like Andre Ward wasn't then he will be very difficult to beat

Dre would have to make it a very slow paced, rugged and physical fight on the inside with a lot of grappling and holding while hitting, in hopes of wearing Calzaghe down with body shots.

This fight could go 50/50 either way but at the moment I can just see Joe outpointing him on the scorecards with his higher punch output.

Ward would need another ref to save him from an ass beating from Joe Cal or to look the other way while he lands his signature low blows.

When the going gets tough just throw elbows, headbutts, and most importantly, throw low blows.

                      sincerely,
                      Andre Ward
