Why can't you accept the same truth about black fighters who perform well, are undefeated, could fight and have crowd pleasing styles but still has not so much as scratched the surface of being accepted by white American boxing fans or mainstream media? They are often scorned, rejected, excoriated, reviled and hated by American racist boxing fans because of the color of their skin and not their talent.

The common tactic had always been and will continue to be the denial of any racism be it systemic or categorical. As with fight club, the first through third rules of white supremacy is “we do not talk about (acknowledge) white supremacy.” That is what I like to refer to as “code.” And the code is breaking, slowly but surely. And as I learned as Soldier in my career in the Army, under stress the human mind will fall back to its training and people like this have trained themselves to go back to what they always have relied on....denial....it’s not just a river in Africa...
It's called "Inside the mind of a paranoid racist". There's no question that Tyson Fury's white skin privilege has played a very major and significant role in his being so popular in America and especially among white mainstream crossover fans.

Yes, he is undefeated and can fight but so can other Black American fighters who don't so much as get a smidgen of the type of mainstream and positive press from the white dominant media and television networks in the U.S. As Tyson Fury.

Wilder is an idiot and a one trick pony who got exposed for being one dimensional. Spence can like the home grown guy all that he likes. The fact of the matter is that Wilder got beat twice by Fury. Fury has more charisma, talent and marketability than Wilder. Wilder hasn't been humble about his recent loss and I think that attitude turns people off too. Personally I think Wilder is an idiot and I hope he loses one more time and disappears.

              I agree with Spence.
The majority of the American boxers, mostly retired legends, and American fans didn't pick Fury to win because of Wilder's power; however, they rooted against Wilder.
The Brits always support their fighters. That's why their boxing scene has flourished.
I think behind closed doors, it bothered Wilder that his own country men didn't stand by him.
That would be discouraging to most fighters.

Who said I couldn’t accept a fact like that? And why does it have to be about black? Again, racist insecurity.

For the record, I think Foreman, Iron Mike and Jones Jr are exciting fighters.

If certain fighters are seen as boring and hated, the blame is on them and what they do. Not because of them being black

What a dumb comment from Spence. Sounds like he hurt his head. People aren't backing Fury over Wilder because they are traitors, anti-American, unpatriotic or any other term you want to use. Anyone with half a brain is picking Fury because he schooled Wilder in the first fight and should've got the decision and massacred him in the rematch. It's got nothing to do with "supporting your countryman". It's more about having an educated opinion based on the two fights they already had. I always liked Spence as a fighter and a person but he seems different after the accident mentally. Hopefully he has his mind right before his comeback fight. He needs to stop worrying about what other people think and focus on coming back as close to 100% as possible.

This may be right in some cases but as a white man, I can honestly say I've NEVER supported a fighter because of their skin color and I've NEVER discredited a fighter because of their skin color. Anyone that does that is not a real fan because they don't judge based on performance, they judge based on whether the boxer looks like them or not and that is total BS.
My favorite fighters in no particular order are Bud Crawford, Chocolatito (I don't care if he's past his prime), Josh Taylor, Naoya Inoue, Fury, Joshua, Vergil Ortiz, Beterbiev, Loma, Spence, Pacquiao, Usyk, Whyte, Hunter, Yarde, Buatsi among many more.

                    • I like underdogs, and Wilder never was the underdog. He was expected to ko everybody including Tyson. He was rash, crass, and loud. He didn't need sympathy, he strutted like a pea****. Now that he got beat, all the ego got squeezed into a cause celebre? I stand for George Floyd, against racial injustice, but Wilder got paid. It's hard to feel sorry for a millionaire.
