I personally don't think a mandatory defend against Whyte stops Fury/AJ. This lawsuit is brought by whyte to keep the WBC/Arum (Who was talking s hit honest).
Fury can smash Wilder again before the end of the year and then smash Whyte early next year. Problem solved.
No need for anyone to play games or politics.Comment

What a mess this really is, you read these posts and think what on earth would a new fan to boxing make of all this?
Ultimately there's no telling the WBC how to run their business - that much is proven. So it's just a waste of time trying to make sense of who is more deserving as there's no clear and defining rationale other than what best suits the WBC.
People commenting on failed PED tests for Whyte as being the reason why he's not fought for the full WBC title overlook the same failed tests for Ortiz and Fury (okay only Ortiz was a mando). But how on earth did Breazeale get his mando shot over Whyte? Why couldn't the WBC guarantee Whyte a shot at Wilder if he fought Ortiz?
All these questions seem relevant but they're not, because the answer to all this mess is that the WBC is a law unto itself. Stop wasting your time trying to make sense of it. It's the WBC.Comment

WBC fccked everything up by protecting Wilder for so long. Why didn't Dillian Whyte sue WBC when Wilder was the belt holder? I think he heard all the money on the table and decided to sue.
Hearn is also probably using this to force Arum's hands in his negotiations with Al Haymon. Hopefully, Arum and Haymon can sort whatever they're discussing out quickly and move Wilder out of the way - for the undisputed later this year.Comment

You are insane bro. The only trickery been going on is the WBC colluding with that hype job Wilder to protect him from tough fights (Fury was another cherry pick that turned into a cherry bomb and blew up in Wilder's face). This stinks of Eddie Hearn’s trickery. Force the WBC or Fury’s camp to make a decision quickly to either dump the Wilder trilogy fight or to vacate/elevate so Whyte becomes full champ so Matchroom has all the cards for undisputed.
Someone educate me here...can the WBC dump Whyte as the mandatory?
Whyte has been mandatory since the second world war, wtf you expect him to do - he deserves his shot and has been getting jerked around. Stinks of WBC and Arum trickery.Comment

It won't stop fury/AJ but it may stop unification Fury/AJ. Big difference in coinage and they know it..I personally don't think a mandatory defend against Whyte stops Fury/AJ. This lawsuit is brought by whyte to keep the WBC/Arum (Who was talking s hit honest).

I'd love to see both take it in turns of ****ing him out and then go back and **** him some more..
However, I'd prefer to see a unification between whoever asap...Comment

Whyte wasting a lot of money for nothing.
He should lure Manuel Charr out of retirement, or fight Fres Oquendo for some minor trinket. He's around that level, or just a little higher. Hell, even Mariusz Wach hit him hard with some stuff, and AJ already left him hanging like a rag on the ropes ages ago.
Seriously, I don't understand all the passion around this guy.Comment

Doesn't stop unification at all. Fury and Joshua aren't fighting until summer 2021, enough time for Fury to fight Wilder and Whyte and for Joshua to fight Pulev and Usyk.
Since the split has already been agreed then all they need to do is win their two fights and unify for all the marbles. I want to see a unification as much as the next man.
But not when Fury would go off and fight someone else after Wilder, then try to fight Joshua after that.Comment
