Nápoles would be proud of Canelo. Two fighters who leaped 15lbs out of their comfort zone.
Nacho will forever be bitter because he lost $500k betting on Canelo to beat Mayweather. Nelo was supposed to be the vengeance for Floyd vs MarquezComment

A simple google search shows Nacho picked Mayweather along with every single other person who wasn’t a casual. Why lie?Comment

I'm a HUGE Canelo fan and hes among the BEST fighters TODAY. But all-time he isn't relevant. Unpopular opinion...prime DLH beats prime Canelo at 154 or 160. DLH could fight manYou would need to be very ignorant of boxing matters to even classify Canelo as pound for pound material. The guy is not and Canelo would be having 5 or more losses if he was not being favoured by judges. Canelo would also be having even more losses had he been matched with some of the best in every division of his. There was really no need to fight the likes of Amir Khan among others.
Regardless of what you say Canelo has too many controversial fights to be pound for pound. You need to dominate fights and come out convincingly as the winner consistently not leaving people thinking you were favoured. Look at people like Roy Jones and Mayweather, you might not like their style or personality but you can’t deny they beat their opponents.
Canelo arguably LOST to Lara, Trout, GGG1, and clearly lost to Floyd. Cotto was a decent win and GGG2 couldve been a draw IMHO.
Among all-timers that just doesnt cut it.
Any PFP list TODAY must start with a combination of Loma, Crawford, and Inoue. Those 3 have dominated everyone - across weight divisions - and continue to look for biggest fightsComment

Nachos feelings are likely to hurt the feelings of the Canelo fans on this site who truly feel in their hearts that they're official members of Team Canelo. Therefore, they will take his comments as a personal attack against someone they love. But, seeing how long Nacho has been in boxing and how much he's accomplished & contributed specifically to Mexican boxing, you have to come to terms with the fact that there's plenty of validity in what he's saying.Comment

Which ATG Mexican fighters were better than Alvarez at this point in his career? Finito Lopez, Julio Cesar Chavez, and Salvador Sanchez come to mind. There are a few Mexican ATG's on par with Canelo, but not many. He is definitely in good company. Nacho and Juan Manuel Marquez are for some reason super Canelo haters.
Nacho's jealousy has skewed his perspective. He should keep Nietsche's famous quote in mind. "The higher we soar, the smaller we appear to those who cannot fly"Comment
