Whyte already lost to aj and was kd by rivas. Imo he couldn't be considered among the best of today.

I kinda agree with Paulie M, especially when talking about Whyte and the protection that the WBC gave to Wilder, Whyte himself deserves some blame. He had a chance to fight in April for 3 belts against Joshua. He kept ****ing on about drug testing, money and how Team Joshua didn’t make him the first choice initially.
Like mate, take the ******** fight. It’s a voluntary defence, for a lot of money, rematch clause, drug testing, and a chance to actually fight for a world title. Here is the list of guys that has fought for a world title over the last 2/3 years.... Bermane st, Takam, Ortiz (Twice - joke), Breazeale (Travesty), Parker, Ruiz, Fury (After 3 years out ), Povetkin, Molina...
No one can tell me that they all deserve it over whyte.
Yep Whyte and his team refused numerous opportunities to fight wilder.
Also Whyte ducked Pulev in a ordered IBF final eliminator (let me guess that was a “second mandatory” as well lol)
I like Paulie but he’s officially become a UK shill. He might as will leave Brooklyn and call Manchester his new home 🤦🏽*♂️

My question is, who the hell did Szpilka and Duhaupas beat to get a shot? And Washington, who did he beat to deserve the shot?
And which elimination fight did Ortiz win to get a shot?Last edited by JakeTheBoxer; 05-17-2020, 11:53 AM.

(a) ordering a final elimination bout of two qualified contenders; or
(b) designating a Qualified Challenger as the official mandatory challenger.
For the avoidance of doubt, the HIGHEST RATED (or the highest rated available) BOXER IN THE WBC RANKINGS IS NEVER, SOLELY BY VIRTUE OF SUCH POSITION, THE OFFICIAL MANDATORY CHALLENGER.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, including any communications attributed to the WBC, no boxer shall be considered as, or claim any privileges associated with, being a mandatory challenger unless (i) the boxer has been officially designated as such by the
WBC President or the President’s designated representative, and (ii) the WBC Board of
Governors has voted to authorize or ratify the designation of such boxer as mandatory
challenger."
There's also this in the regulations:
"A Silver Champion must comply with all defense and other obligations applicable to WBC World Champions hereunder as the WBC shall order in its discretion. A SILVER CHAMPION SHALL NOT BE A MANDATORY CONTENDER for the WBC World Championship ABSENT WINNING A FINAL ELIMINATION BOUT for the World title, unless a written exception has been authorized by a majority vote of the WBC Board of Governors in its sole discretion."
