He showed heart against Douglas especially. He was ill prepared out of condition and was getting hit with big shots. He found it in himself to comeback and dropped Douglas. The correct result happened but if the ref jumped in and stopped it he would have won. Klitscko gets knocked down, then drops Joshua, then gets stopped and apparently that meant he had heart but in Tyson's case, no?I think Haye might be talking about himself. Tyson had hard fights with Tillis and Ruddock twice. Haye folded as soon as Carl Thompson started hitting him back, did nothing and waited for the towel to come in. Ran in the Klitschko fight with a prearranged excuse, fell apart in both Bellew fights when he couldnt blow him out. Tyson is often criticised for lack of heart, but he took alot of punishment in the Douglas fight, lots in the first Holyfield fight. Even Tucker, Bruno, Thomas and Mathis fights weren't all plain sailing. He had one leg in the Williams fight, took about 20 straight shots from a guy who could definitely punch. No, the no heart Teddy Atlas stuff dont fly.Comment

Just stepping in that ring you have to over come adversity.i know I have been there over a hundred times in the amateurs and 22 times in the pros.tyson overcame adversity in the ruddock fight. He overcame adversity being afraid, but Tyson was a machine when he was at his best,David Haye you couldn't carry Mike Tyson's jockstrap. You don't even rate in the top 1000 it have you at heavyweight. You let a weak-ass fighter like Tony Bello knock you out twice. And you weren't oldyou just couldn't deal with adversity yourselfComment

I've taken my shots at Haye over the years & I did say he never really had to overcome adversity other than being dropped by Mormeck & coming back to win. I think I was wrong to say he never overcame adversity because injuries were by far his toughest opponent. Yes the "toe" thing against Klitschko was weak but he did have a lot of serious long term injuries that he managed to come back from but they took their toll on his body. At the end of his career he made no excuse after the first Bellow loss even though we all knew it was the achilles that ended that fight not Bellow. After the 2nd Bellow loss he again made no excuse. He was in great shape appearance wise but knew that was it. The training camp was grueling & he barely made it through. He didn't have anything left physically or mentally. He said he knew that was it. I believe he considered pulling out but he didn't want to deny Bellow another life changing payday for his family & decided he would rather go out on his shield than pull out of another fight as he had done so many times due to injury. I give him some respect for that...Comment
