I think Haye might be talking about himself. Tyson had hard fights with Tillis and Ruddock twice. Haye folded as soon as Carl Thompson started hitting him back, did nothing and waited for the towel to come in. Ran in the Klitschko fight with a prearranged excuse, fell apart in both Bellew fights when he couldnt blow him out. Tyson is often criticised for lack of heart, but he took alot of punishment in the Douglas fight, lots in the first Holyfield fight. Even Tucker, Bruno, Thomas and Mathis fights weren't all plain sailing. He had one leg in the Williams fight, took about 20 straight shots from a guy who could definitely punch. No, the no heart Teddy Atlas stuff dont fly.

Yes definitely its seems fighters always used somebody to explain their own failings. Haye from amateur was always classed as chinny or fragile similar to Amir Khan. He just looking he thought a safety first Klitchsko and that is his claim to fame. Thompson took his soul and he just became a cautious fighter after that

Haye is just repeating what teddy atlas constantly says about tyson. The fact is tyson didnt really have to come back in a fight as it was usually over in a few rounds. He obviously had his issues and holyfield ear bite ect could possibly be seen as looking for a way out. But to suggest he was mentally weak or whatever isnt fair. He came from absolutely nothing to a world heavyweight champion shows he must have mental toughness

What about Tyson's two fights with Razor Rud****? Both fighters were never the same after that.. A prime example of how great fighters can destroy each others potential.. Haye is just butthurt from what bellow and klitschko did to him! Lol.

Fanciful thinking at best. Ruddock was a good/solid fighter with good power but one handed.

I think the Tyson never fought in adversity is overplayed, but he was certainly a "on top" fighter. But I think he showed enough toughness in his career. I think his bigger issue was stamina. When he was tired and he started getting punched, he would react badly.
