Maidana beat floyd, bossed him about. But even if you don't think maidana won, he did better than Bradley did against pac first fight and Bradley got victory?
So Floyd thanks God everyday. If fight was in Argentina it would have been 10-2 type decision for maidana.

What cannot be disputed, is that Maidana in two fights did better than Manny Pacquiao, the guy HBO commentators told people was the only man who had a chance to beat Floyd.

I don't know about that. Floyd was scared to rematch pac, his biggest rival. The guy people consider who has a better resume and career than floyd. Didn't rematch nel o also another big rival who one day may have better resume. Nel o is within touching distance of surpassing Floyd already with fours years left at least.

Is there another boxer in history who didn't give biggest rivals rematches?

Prime Pac would have better chance against floyd but got jmm used goods.

you generally only hear pac-idiots saying that
Maidana wasn't allowed to use his punching gloves and still won 5 rounds. One judge had him winning 6.

Really good performance by Maidana.. with a puncher glove he would have probably get at least a draw. Floyd knew this.. that's why ha payed 1.5 or 2 millions extra to have Maidana wear different gloves.

Maidana also did better than Canelo.

You could say that but it's your biggest rivalries you need to beat in rematches.
Because it's them who have as good if not better resumes than yourself and you beating them once won't make you greater than them at close of your career. You don't want people to think your win was a one off fluke, and people thinking they beat you in rematch like they think nel o or Pac would.
Even though many think maidana beat floyd, I don't think people necessarily thought maidana would do better in 2 nd fight

                Maidana won 4 clear rounds

Then 3 rounds in the rematch

Which is very good when facing Mayweather

Argentina even gave Maidana a hero’s parade celebration when he didn’t win

Ellerbe is the last guy I would ask for an unbiased opinion regarding Mayweather.

Funny how Ellberbe goes back to that fight to defend Floyd. We all know who should have won.

I wasn’t a Mayweather fan but I respect his skills and underrated toughness....I think Castillo won the first one and lost close but clean the second one. Maidana might have won or deserved a Draw in the first one then lost the second one clean. Other than that Cotto gave Floyd a good fight but clearly lost...and Emmanuel Burton gave Floyd some trouble. Pacquiao won 3 or 4 rounds but that’s it. Oscar didn’t do bad but ran out of gas after 8 rounds. Zab Judah gave Floyd hell for 4 rounds (and maybe even an uncredited knockdown) before Floyd Took over. Mosley landed one gigantic right hand then was dominated. Everybody else, if memory serves me well, was not much of a test for Floyd.
