I got to disagree. Hatton may have wanted a match but his handlers had no intention of matching him against Floyd. Floyd did try to make the fight several times and was unsuccessful. Same with Cotto. Different story at 147.

I've read it from both sides. The thing is I think the fighters generally want to fight; but management and promoters usually get in the way. Truth is, in most near-miss match-ups, you really can't tell who's to blame; but I'd be willng to be nine times out of ten it's not the guy who gets in the ring for a living.
