That’s just being a post elite fighter or one in his prime. One could argue that post Floyd was more entertaining to watch than offensive PBF. Post Floyd relied on counter attacking to steal the show, along with defense.

I mean, did he really learn that when he abused it somehow to get a draw against the biggest A-side in boxing since Mike Tyson? He was already getting those advantages in every fight.

True. He was also using catch weights already too. Good point.

Guess we'll never find out how good he actually is.

Canelo is the best student in boxing

Fighters pick up tricks getting work in with a vet

Saul was copying a bunch of Floyd’s moves before he fought him

He became his own style after the fight. Boxing with Floyd made him realize he shouldn’t copy Floyd exactly

CWs literary flew under the radar until Manny showed how much gain can be had, but also the fallout made it so they are now frowned on more than ever so I think the CW loop hole is dying out with so many negs attached to them today.

IMO it are the hydration clauses that are the more prohibitive. I tried to look up when the first one was, but couldn't find anything. Do you know? I don't even really remember hydration being that big of a deal until guys like Gatti and Toney were gaining huge amounts of weight between weigh in and fight.

Fighters don’t care for rehydration clauses. If a fighter is dependent on gaining 10lbs of water that was eliminated for the scale, then it’s no problem since everyone does it. A 10lb morning rule is the fairest thing in a game. A fighter is still allowed to weigh as he pleases after breakfast and throughout the day leading to the ring. Those are about 10+ hours away from the fight.

You guys over complicate scenarios you have no idea about, and the IBF does this rule. It’s not rocket science, if you’re requiring 10lbs additional from the morning rule then the burden is on the fighter since many would speculate the class they’re fighting in.

                  Isn’t that common sense? Lol

That’s why nobody cares about it. Just because Dan Rafael reports somehow it’s a revelation of surprise or a consequence? there’s always a premature way to view Canelo fights because you’re just haters that don’t understand what’s done in the game
