Am a massive Fury fan but am NOT a fangirl. I would support him in the ring, i admire his fighting style, i would pick him over Joshua in the ring anytime anyday but i have ZERO bitterness towards Joshua. We all create our own destiny.
    Yeah which is fair

I'm a fan of AJ and Fury

AJ came along at a time Fury was out due to his own fault and kept heavyweights boxing big in the UK

Fury is the more talented, AJ the more commited, I like both but there's a cult of personality developed around Fury and it's really unpleasant.

I do see similarities in the treatment of Lennox and AJ tbh. If Joshua had been American theres no ****ing way the notion of Wilder being better, or AJ ducking him, would have ever gained any real traction. The "glass jaw" and "stiff" accusations would have been far less prevalent, nobody would have compared him to Frank Bruno and he would been accepted as hands down the no1 HW in the world from the time he beat Wlad to the time of the Ruiz loss.

Fury has managed to mostly avoid this by effectively ingratiating himself in America in the last couple of years. Partly due to his gift of the gab, but also coming out in American colours for a fight and the (false) narrative that nobody in the UK ever liked him or gave a **** about him. Theres enough there for Americans to cling to, and its an easier pill to swallow if hes the no1 guy.

And, yeah, both were stopped by underdogs. Klitschko also. And Mike Tyson.

That is an issue with big champs. Sometimes they are stopped by underdogs.
