If they had offered Wilder a straight 50/50 the fight would've been made, not all these multi fight deals etc.

Yes, Wilder would've been significantly overpaid based on previous earnings and Joshua would have had to take a big pay cut.

However if AJ truly wanted to be great and honestly thought Wilder was a bum, he should've instructed Hearn to make the fight no matter the cost.

In reality, Hearn does what Hearn does, he tried to do the same thing with Fury, tie him into multi fight contracts and told him he needed to beat Gym Sweeper Whyte to 'earn' an AJ fight.

The facts are, Joshua and Hearn were worried about Wilder smashing AJs jaw, so they made some bs offers and then started a spin campaign to convince AJs casual fanbase that Wilder ducked him

I see all these numbers tossed around by AJ fans, but when I ask for numbers and proof, I get linked to Eddie's twitter account.

Fury is the only HW with balls in this division.

why would they offer a guy who can't sell and only made 2 million a 50-50 split? so you admit joshua should have bent over backwards for wilder just to make the fight and when he didnt its a duck? that makes no sense sorry.

Dare to be great. Wilder is utter dog**** apparently so what's the problem?

It's not like AJ was short of a few quid anyway. Wilder was trash talking him and calling him a b1tch.

yeah we proved it buddy. you are the one making excuses and talking in circles.

undefeated WBA titleholder Gennady Golovkin broke down No. 9-rated Curtis Stevens to an eighth-round stoppage with Stevens’ corner halting the bout at the end of the round. “GGG” cannot improve his No. 1 rating. Stevens will drop from No. 9 to No. 10

watch in a couple days he will be back on here saying stevens wasn't ranked lmao

yeah i dont think thats a very rational position to hold. the a-side doesnt usually bend over backwards. he offered him 12 million when his high was 2 million. thats not a bs offer. he then offered him 100 million later on. oh no it was part of a 3 fight deal...so?

For the record, this was your first "source"

Look you even pointed to Stevens being ranked #10

I proved you wrong based off your own source and then Cliff came through to clarify which is when you finally quoted an official source and not something showing him unranked

One big take away is at least you're a little better at sourcing

You do what has to be done to prove yourself the man.

Joshua needed Wilder to prove he was a real champion, but we all know he was more than happy to avoid him and keep bringing in that paper.

I don't blame him from a business perspective.
