I cannot for the life of me understand why people actually rate Floyd higher than Pacquiao when he did not even attempt to fight at 160. Meanwhile Pacquiao went through eight divisions.

He should have challenged himself by moving to 160.

I personally don't feel Floyd needed to move up to 160 to prove anything. He never fully challenged himself from 154 and down, so did anyone expect him to fight the best at their best at 160? He's too small for 160 anyway. There were a couple of middleweights who offered to come down to 150 and 154, but he wanted no part of them.

Pac went through 8 divisions because he started off at lower weights and it's not the 8 divisions that set Pac apart from everybody else at least not entirely. I think the argument for who has the better legacy is best defined by level of competition at different aspects of the careers in comparison to the other.
Truthfully most boxing fans should agree that either one stands out from most any fighter in boxing history. Both are bare minimum top 10 of all time or higher.

What are you even talking about? "Money" Mayweather is a natural 140 fighter who just didn't cut weight. Why would Floyd ever need to go 20 pounds and 3 divisions above his natural weight to be compared to Pacquiao. Pacquiao fought a natural 147 pound Margarito at 154 to just get that paper title at 154. Im sorry but you can have your opinion on who is greater but talking about Floyd not moving up to 160 and fight Jermain Taylor in 2015 to become a paper champion at middleweight is not a valid reason just because Pacquiao did that at 154. Really who would even care if Floyd beat a shot Jermain Taylor?

Simple, Floyd beat Manny in a legacy defining fight. Floyd is the unquestioned best fighter of his era.

Sorry bro your not sounding reasonable right now. Pac started boxing at 15 and he was 100 lbs soaking wet eating out of dumpsters. As soon as the money started rolling in he started settling into a more natural weight. Just because Pac had those circumstances to deal with and he was able to pick up trinkets along the way dosnt mean we should expect everyone to have the same goals or try to outdo each other in every single category. We have be realistic 154 was probably the ceiling for both of these midgets

How many super featherweights ever fought at Middleweight? Very, very few...

                It’s hardly an expectation...

May and Pac are both ATG’s. I’m a Pac fan and never liked Floyd but I think you can make a reasonable argument for either ranking higher than the other depending on your criteria.

I can't see an argument for Manny over Floyd. And I like both

                    - Wins against elite fighters in their prime

                    - Only 8 weight champ in history.

                    - Only fighter to hold a world title in 4 different decades.

                    - 5 division lineal champion

You can make a reasonable argument for both IMO. Personally I have Floyd slightly higher but I can understand if somebody has Manny higher than Floyd.
