Does Manny Pacquiao have a claim to be a Top 3 ATG?

To keep it real if Manny was black or white they would already have him as the GOAT but you know the biased media will never allow that but yes manny could very well have a claim to being the best to ever do it.

You make a big assumption that most posters are racist. Did it occur to you that many non racist posters think Pac was not one of the three greatest boxers in history and race has nothing to do with it. How many posting here have seen all the great fighters in boxing's long history even on film or rally know much about them? I doubt you have. Did you ever see the great Cuban boxer Jose Napoles or know much about him? Henry Armstrong held tittles at 126, 135 and 147 at the same time in a time when there was only one champ in each weight class not 4 champions. Joe Louis made 25 successful defenses of the heavyweight title with no losses There have been so many amazing fighters in history and many who know boxing history and know about and possibly watched film of some of them think more than three of them were better than Pac. Let them have their opinion without saying they are racists.

Manny is one of the greats but he's not top 3. Any fan can rationalize why an all time great is top 3, top 5 whatever. But Manny was the 2nd best fighter in the Mayweather ERA.

Don't forget that Henry Armstrong also got robbed of a title at 160. Imagine, a four weight world champion in the era of only one champ per division when there were only 8 divisions total. That is what you call great.

Nobody hates Pacquiao, it's just that some (me included) don't think he's one of the top three fighters in boxing looooooooong history. Surely we can have differentiating opinions without someone "hating" someone else.

Foreman actually beat the champ for the title. Margo and Pac fought for a title that neither earned the shot. It was a circus fight, popularity contest. Nice try though

His dlh, cotto, Hatton, margarito run is clearly su****ious and he was probably dirty for a couple of those marquez fights. Then when marquez evened the playing field he damn near killed pacquiao. Why are you always so emotional on here man...I'm not even a Pac-man fan and I'm not a Floyd hater lol...one of the only fights of Manny's that I've watched in total was vs Jeff Horn and I thought he lost that or it was a draw...thought he lost clearly 8-4 to Floyd as well, though I do think that fight was delayed and Floyd could/should have made it sooner.

I do think it is exceptional what both Floyd and Manny did, in rising up the weights as they did...pretty incredible...if one wanted to be critical, you could get on each guy for various things too...opponent selection, judging/reffing, venue of fights, PED accusations etc...but they both were great fighters.

I would just think that if one were a big fan of Floyd, they would give Manny a lot of credit, as he is the best name on Floyd's resume...because for them, they can always make the case that whatever level Manny is all-time, Floyd is at least very close by, as they had similar careers, and of course Floyd beat Manny.

I personally think Manny's run is a bit better than Floyd's overall...but I don't know where I would put him all-time pfp...as I said in the poll, I would say he is in the convo, and that's really all you can say for any fighter...I think Floyd was a great fighter but very protected in his Money May days and really took very few risks, which defines greatness for me.

Ali going to face Foreman in Zaire for example...if one wanted to put Floyd in consideration for top 3 pfp I certainly think his name warrants discussion, but I wouldn't put him there...again he was a great boxer though...but an even better businessman.
