The way Ruiz showed up I feel like the bigger ring saved him more than AJ. If AJ had to stand and fight I think he would've been faster and his stamina was better for that type of fight considering he was able to stick and move. When Ruiz did catch him he was too out of shape to do anything about it.
Why was there a 22 foot ring for Joshua vs Ruiz II?

I'd actually like too see minimum weight in 40 ft rings. that'd be dope. and refs would have to be midgetsComment

AJ looked scared to stand and trade, the few times he tried it he would punch then immediately back out once Ruiz started retaliating. The way Ruiz showed up I feel like the bigger ring saved him more than AJ. Probably due to flashbacks from the first fight.
The bigger ring definitely hurt Ruiz. His feet aren't the fastest even when he's in good shape.Comment

Yep, Ray Leonard told interviewers that he pretty much won the Hagler fight during negotiations. He offered Hagler more money so he would agree to a larger ring, larger gloves and 12 rounds versus 15.Comment

This cant make sense to you. AJ didn't have to utilize the entire ring. Ruiz WANTED to stand and trade. Even invited AJ tooThe way Ruiz showed up I feel like the bigger ring saved him more than AJ.
