I scored them both for Golovkin. I had no rooting interest first time around; for the rematch I rooted for GGG because I felt he was robbed the first time around.

The second one I wouldn't call an outright robbery; it was close enough that I would've been fine with a draw. But I didn't see a Canelo win.

Abel Sanchez said GGG was losing in like round 9.

After the fight He also said the judges did a good job.

In case you don’t know who he is that was GGG long time trainer.

Also most trainers and fighters said Canelo won the 2nd fight.

abel only trains his fighters to move forward. he is a very limited trainer. his inability as a trainer discredits his opinion.

Boxing behind a jab has never been seen as a negative. not against Ali, Robinson, Leonard and Floyd.

It shouldn't be held against GGG either.

GGG was boxing beautifully off the backfoot with a jab and won that fight by punches landed. period.

and hurting Canelo in the 11th.

Canelo did land some nice counters but I didn't see much 'devastating' going on from either guy in either fight.

I couldn't possibly care less what Abel Sanchez says and the opinions of trainers and fighters are not inherently better than anyone else's. Just look at some of the opinions fighters and trainers have sometimes, it's pure lunacy.

The scores for the second fight were highly divisive and more people had Golovkin winning than Alvarez.

Any claim that Alvarez clearly won is not the reality of what people actually thought of that fight when it happened. It's just some retroactive nonsense people push now. If you think he won, fine. There's nothing clear about it, it's an extremely debatable fight.

Press row and thousands and thousands at home scored more for a draw and a GGG win than a Canelo win.

Sanchez threw Golovkin under the bus to save his reputation and look like the gracious loser. He was primarily the one claiming that G was going to knock out Canelo. I have never heard a trainer talk like that after his fighter came out on the short side of a close fight.

2nd fight could go to canelo, although it’s hard to find 7 rounds to give to him, unless you change your scoring criteria round by round just to favour canelo.

It’s a case of the fight not going as expected, affecting people’s scoring. Since people didn’t expect ggg to box, then canelo “must have won”.

A lot of guys like to say that one should look at the fighters' faces after a fight and ask which one they would rather be.
