If Mosley is younger then Mayweather gets hit with a fight ending follow up barrage. It would change the entire conversation when people are ranking him. How can you overlook that and every other Mayweather opponent who could have been a step faster with each and every attack? It changes the outcome of every fight. In some cases the changes are slight, in others maybe not so much.

It’s a good resume but when people overlook the circumstances behind a lot of those wins and start talking like he’s top 5 all time, that’s where I take issue with it. I just really don’t see it.

An example - Mosley fight - people are complaining saying mosley was shot. Mosley was the number 1 welterweight in the world when Floyd fought him. Mosley had a 50/50 fight with Cotto and KO over margarito. His win reestablished him as the lineal welter champion. If floyd DIDNT fight him, the same people would complain he ducked the best welter.

I agree with this...his longevity is unprecedented. I get where ts was trying to go, but to compare mayweather to wilder in any sense is asinine. It is true though, that mayweather simply lacks the fights/wins vs prime atg opposition. For that reason, ts is kinda right to say he can’t be compared with the likes srl in that respect. For all we know about mayweather, we’ll never know if he was really THAT good.
